MINUTES OF MEETING
Thursday 27 November 2008, 6.15pm

PRESENT:
Craig Bailey, Kelly Jemmett, James Elkington, Carol Pound, Karen
Wilkinson, Karen Stothart, Zoe Athersuch.

APOLOGIES:
Denise Marshall, Andrew Nicholls, Leigh Buchanan, Roger Gannon.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
Moved that Craig Bailey be elected and appointed as President for the club.

Moved that Carol Pound be co-opted onto the committee as committee


member.

MATTERS ARISING FROM MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING:


All Stars Carnival:
Zoe banked the money. (attached schedule)

It was moved that the Minutes of the Meeting held on 23 October 2008 be
confirmed as a true and accurate record.

CORRESPONDENCE:

MSC letter received re: Towels, Dais, and clash of meets. (attached)
Towels from IceBreakers: These have now been handed to recipients.

Moved that Schedule of Correspondence received and despatched from to


23 October to 27 November 2008 be accepted as a true and accurate record.

TREASURER’S REPORT
Financials for September/October done by Fiona. Distributed to members
to look through.

Moved that the financials for September/October 2008 be approved and


passed for payment.

COACHES REPORT:
Andrew/Roger not present.

FUNDING
Funding declined for Senior Camp.
Karen to apply again as follows.

It was resolved on 27 November 2008 that application be made to the


Lion Foundation for a total of $1,020 [One thousand and twenty dollars only]
for van hire to transports swimmers to and from Hawera for Senior Camp.

It was resolved on 27 November 2008 that application be made to the Pub


Charity for a total of $1,000 [One thousand dollars only] for pool hire in
Hawera for 25 swimmers to train in for Senior Camp.

It was resolved on 27 November 2008 that application be made to Central


Energy Trust for a total of $1,742.90 [One thousand and seven hundred and
forty two dollars and ninety cents only] for a laptop computer for the Club to
use for financial records and accounting purposes.

It was resolved on 27 November 2008 that application be made to Kia Toa for
a total of $625.00 [Six hundred and twenty five dollars only] for
accommodation for 25 swimmers for Senior Camp in Hawera.

Karen Wilkinson to get together with James for a funding plan 2009 so we
can apply for funding in advance.

RACE SECRETARY
Letter received confirming meet for August for Xcelerate Meet.
No frills meet.

All Stars Carnival:


Thank you flyers/notices to be handed to sponsors etc for All Stars Carnival.
Zoe has a list of sponsors.
Project Plan to be organised by James for 2009 meet.

OTHER BUSINESS:

Signatories:
Wendy/Fiona to be taken off as signatories.
Roger to organise this.

Senior Camp:
Sarah-Jane has asked that the Club pay for $15 for cap/sunglasses for the
swimmers for senior camp.

Moved that Sarah-Jane buy caps/sunglasses for the swimmers going to


Senior Camp. Club to fund this.

Cameron Gillespie is transferring to Ice Breakers. They have just registered


with Kiwi but only within the last week or so.

Moved that Liz Tozer be refunded $100 for registration fee.
