Powers and Abilities: Surge has an interesting combination of major enerygy manipulation coupled with an incredible amount of adrenaline that courses through his system.
Family: Uncle, Hal Bartokomitch The Arch Engineer held his family hostage as a promise of good behavior during the experimentation. Unfortunately the Arch Engineer never bothered to tell him that his entire family were detained and only mentioned that his Uncle Hal was the one captured. When he escaped (and freed his Uncle) , he discovered after the fact that the rest of his family was wiped out in revenge.

History: The Southland (oh excuse me now the CSAS) won't tell you this, but they were
getting ready for a war long before the the Three Fifths Act were passed. I'm living proof. Have you ever seen what happens when you attempt to cross technology and magic inside a (formerly) human body? I'm it. I, Winston Zeddemore, am a failed science experiment. And if I ever get around some mental blocks; I am going to destroy the South for what they have done. I started life as your typical everyday ordinary kind of guy. I was born in Birmingham as your typical second generation immigrant and my family was one of those poorer but still proud. (Kind of like when rich families fall on hard times. We had our glorious Wallachian ancestors, but hey ancestry doesn't pay the bills) Growing up was simple. I like baseball, lemon pie and playing with new toys. What kid didn't? I hate jello though, that stuff is just demented. I wanted to get in on all the new science that was coming out during the late 50's and 60's and thought that working for the FSA would be a good idea. I guess I couldnt cut it very well, they made me a teacher.

The Mexico Border Incidents were pretty exciting, but I was mainly fixing weapons except for that one time when infiltrators slipped through the wire. God only knows how I saw that one coming, but the CO at the time put me in the watchtower for guard duty almost exclusively after that. So anyway, after all that happened I went through college. That's when I found out I was pretty good at science, but nothing spectacular. Then the 3/5 act came out. And I was taken. God only knows for what, but it's not like I ever flew or threw cars or did anything else like that. Hell, I never broke that many laws either, except for maybe public intoxication or something silly like that.

So then we're captured, and they start taking 'volunteers' for a control / enhancement program. The only thing we heard were magic and science merging for controlling the supermen. That apparently didn't work out so well.

I joined the FSA Marines and served, but it just wasn't for me. They made me an armorer when they found out I wasn't that good of a shot and I never bothered trying to go for the Recon / Raider platoons. I liked what I did so I went into the Reserves after finishing up.
