PROFICIENCY IN POWERPOINT DESIGN Course Framework - PART A


Scope: This course aims to familiarize the participants on the features of the Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 and have a full understanding and confidence how it works. Objective: Microsoft PowerPoint remains the gold standard for presentation tools, yet few know how to create and deliver truly meaningful and impactful presentations. Even fewer know how to take advantage of tools that integrate with PowerPoint to deliver compelling business presentations that are sure to capture an audiences attention. By participating in this course, you will learn the techniques of creating commanding PowerPoint presentations, complete with videos and screen captures. Course Content:

Developing consistent, high-quality presentations with PowerPoints basic tools Learn how to use animations and transitions Building multiple slide shows from the same slide deck Creating effective charts and graphs in PowerPoint Incorporating audio and video into a PowerPoint presentation Integrating PowerPoint with Excel and Word

Entry Standards: Faculty and Staff, Facilitators, Instructors and other Professionals, who will use PowerPoint Presentation from the board rooms to the classrooms. Must be computer literate and have knowledge in computer applications. Course Certificate: Documentary evidence should be issued to those who have successfully completed this course indicating that the holder has completed a training course for Proficiency in PowerPoint Design. Course Intake Limitation: The total number of trainees should not be more than 12.

Staff Requirements All training and instruction should be given, and assessments carried out, by qualified personnel who understand the specific objective of the training, and have experience of the procedures established. Instructors shall be qualified in this task for which the training is being conducted and have appropriate training in instructional techniques and training methods. The assigned Assessor should have the same qualification as the trainer and must be a holder of a training certificate in Assessment, Examination and Certification of Seafarers (IMO MC 3.12). Training Materials / Equipment Classroom shall be at least 24 square meters in area for 12 trainees. It shall be well lighted, ventilated, clean and equipped with: 1. 2. 3. 4.
