THE PRELGOVISKS IN PUERTO RICO

Scary Picnic: The church we are starting in Puerto Rico organized a picnic that turned out to be more exciting than we had planned for.

The first surprise was just getting there. We had to drive through a river in our car and and carefully navigate around the rocks. Then we descended a very steep mud and rock road. We were in our old '92 Previa and I worried about getting stuck. The car groaned a bit but finally made it. The site was very rustic but beautiful. But then I noticed a cow skull wedged between some vines and a tree. I sensed that we had to be in a pretty remote area for a whole cow to decay and leave its head in a tree and not have it removed by anybody. We had a great lunch, then had games, and even a movie using a generator, a projector and a bed sheet for a screen. But then I noticed Tina was missing. She was waiting to hear if our daughter Rachel had our new grandson yet, so she went searching for good reception for her cell phone. Tina found a hill and got through, but afterwards she took the wrong path coming back down and ended up in a dry river bed. She eventually got to the river and was trying to follow it back to where we had forded it earlier.

way through college. Our daughter Rachel and her husband Max lead the youth group at Victory Bible Baptist Church. Their pastor, Allen Cotton, has invited us to come and share our ministry, so we will get to see just about the whole family in Florida in July. My daughter Bethanys husband, Abe, is going to be ordained at his church in St Croix, US Virgin Islands, where he serves as the youth director. Having four kids all in Bible College or the ministry is a great blessing

Passing it on: Our missionary church has a heart for missions and is sending people from Puerto Rico to the mission field. Curline went to Africa and Stephanie went to Mexico, where they will help missionaries and teach in Christian schools on the field. Stephanie was a Four of our people went out looking for her, but had no member of our church and luck. I went down a road to the river and found a gap in the taught Sarah and Kristin in barbed wire fence and shouted to see if she would hear me. Sunday school. Its great to She heard me the first time I called, but couldn't believe it, see our people not just receive, but give, even of so she waited till I called again before she answered. I themselves. walked back to our camp with a very happy wife. We got a lot of jokes about the lost sheep and the pastor who left all the others behind to go find her. But that is just what happened! We are glad the story had a good ending! Sunday I felt a closer bond with our people. I think it is because of the shared experiences of fun, excitement and even danger. I am happy to be in a church where our members are more than just members. They are our friends. Family News and a Mini-Furlough: Sarah and Kristin have just finished their first year in college. They cant come home for the Summer because theyre working their Prayer Requests: Please pray for our health. I just got Shingles, a painful viral nerve infection related to chicken pox. Tina is working a lot, but feeling it in her joints and is getting tests for arthritis. Our 92 Toyota Previa needs about $500 worth of repairs. We want to help Sarah and Kristin with their college expenses. We do need your faithful, monthly support, but mostly we need your prayer support.
