Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ini merupakan generasi penerus Galaxy Tab 7 inch. Sesuai dengan namanya, tablet ini memiliki layar 10,1 inch. Salah satu kelebihan yang diklaim lebih mentereng ketimbang para pesaing adalah bodinya diklaim tertipis di dunia. Dengan tebal 8,6 mm dan berat 595 gram, wajar kalau samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 diklaim sebagai Tablet PC paling tipis. Pesaing terdekatnya adalah Apple iPad 2 sedikit lebih tebal dengan ukuran 8,8 mm.
