Tottenham Carnival 2012

Some of you may already know, but I am forwarding the email message far below from the Tottenham Community Festival and Carnival Committee with regard to the cancellation of the festival part (i.e. the activities and events in the park) at this years event. The carnival parade however will still be going through Tottenham to Bruce Castle Park, arriving at 1pm. The museum will be open of course from 12 noon and so will our caf selling beautiful cakes, refreshing teas and coffees and sandwiches. . In addition we will have some childrens activities including a traditional Puppet Show and puppetmaking workshops, plus local history and some community stalls (namely Haringey Archives/ rd Museum, Friends of Bruce Castle, Friends of Tottenham Marshes, Haringey University of the 3 Age, Hornsey Historical Society, New River Action Group, Radical History Network of North London, Tottenham Civic Society and Dr Bike) will be out on the lawn (as long as the weather is kind if not will go inside the building). Mannings also have their Fun Fair at the far end of the park as in previous years all weekend. Please circulate this information on your own email forums. Many thanks. Special Announcement It is with great regret that the Tottenham Community Festival and Carnival Committee wish to announce that due to Shortfall in our funding we will be unable to stage the Festival in Bruce Castle Park on Saturday 23rd of June 2012. We would like to take this opportunity thank all our sponsors, committee members and supporters for all their hard work & financial support over this last year. The good news is that the Carnival Parade will still go ahead which will take place on Saturday 23rd of June 2012 departing from Eade Road N4 1DJ at 11.00am and arriving in Church Road N17 8DU at

approximately 1.00pm.
