Project : TESTING OF HANDOVER FEATURE ON FEMTO GATEWAY Client Name: GENBAND Project description : Femto gateway acts as a BSSAP user and communicates with the Femto Access Point. GGE is the GSM call control module of the Femto Gateway. It is the primary module responsible for handling all MS related activities. Handover Testing involves testing of Inter-BSC, Inter-MSC, Handover to a macro network BSS and Inter-vendor Handover testing. The inter-MSC handover can be supported on both SIP & ISUP.

Responsibilities:
Inter-BSC & Inter-MSC Handover Feature testing for different call scenarios. I was involved in exhaustive testing of CC module involving multiple scenarios and configuration using EAST as a simulator for BSC, HLR & MSC node. Testing of HO data exchanges between the anchor and relay MSCs using the MAP/E protocol. SS7 GT configuration towards peer MSC; testing of Inter-MSC HO over ISUP & SIP Error scenarios simulated through test tools at different call stages of Handoff. Testing of BSSAP interworking towards Femto Base stations.

Project description: GENBANDs G9 Converged Gateway is a high capacity and feature-rich femtocell gateway for both residential and enterprise networks. G9 platform enable cost-effective femtocell deployments of centralized call server networks supported by distributed media gateways. It interworks with femtocell controllers, mobile core and internet/broadband IP networks. It supports CDMA, GSM, & UMTS radio networks. Responsibilities: In this project we were involved in end to end system testing of femto mobile core solution. Testing involves Soft switch provisioning, Call Setup, Location Area Update, roaming from femto cell to macro BSS network, Cancel location etc. Basic HLR provisioning test & MAP interworking towards HLR Testing of SIP- ISUP interworking functionality.
