Event: PA Meeting (casual attire; come dressed for the day) Time/Location: 9:00a 10:00a / Hilton Palacio del Rio, Salon del Ray, South/Center Event: PA Group Photo (Entire PA FBLA Travel Group) Time/Location: 10:30a / La Villita Village Ampitheater (walking distance from hotel) Event: Rio Barge Cruise (casual attire) Time/Location: 11:15a 1:30p Marriott Riverwalk Event: Time/Location Lunch @ Fogo De Chao (come hungry) (note dress code to the right Group 1 @ 1:45p, Group 2 @ 2:15p

Please wear your orange official PA FBLA NLC jersey for todays activities.* Wear comfortable shoes for walking. Recommended: Bermuda length shorts, (no short-shorts), Capri length slacks, skirts (no really, really short skirts), skorts, sun dresses, Denim is okay as long as there are no holes.
*Dress code was designed with Fogo De Chao in mind.

PA Meeting: All competitors are required to attend this meeting; roll call will be taken (#1). All advisers/parents, and guests are invited to attend this meeting. Valuable information will be provided regarding competition and responsibilities while at the NLC. Items in the travel package will be reviewed and much, much, more! Immediately following adjournment, we will remain in the Salon del Ray for further instructions for the PA Group Photo. River Barge Cruise: Immediately after the group photo is taken, you will be escorted to the boat loading platform at the Marriott Riverwalk. Barges will be numbered, your Barge Number Assignment is on sheet Day 2A. Fogo De Chao: Immediately following the cruise, Group 1 will be escorted to Fogo De Chao for lunch/dinner. Group 2 can leisurely walk to the Rivercenter Lagoon and window shop or listen to the enchanting Peruvian Andres Mountain music. Keep track of the timeit will pass quickly. Please be at Fogo De Chao at 2:10p. You will be seated shortly. See sheet Day 2B for Group Seating Assignments. After dinner, the time is all yours for the remainder of the day.

Day 4 - Saturday, June 30


Immediately after the Regional Campaign Rallies and State Presidents Reports, Group 1 will leave the Grand Hyatt for dinner at Casa Rio. You will be escorted to the Casa Rio by a member(s) of the PA FBLA Travel Staff.
Attire for dinner: Group 1 will be in business attire since we will leave directly from the Grand Hyatt.
(As a courtesy to Group 2, we must be on time for dinner.) Parents, guests, and children are welcome to wear casual attire to either dinner seating.

Take comfortable walking shoes with you to the meeting if you wish to change
your shoes. (The Casa Rio is a 7-minute walk, pending heavy pedestrian traffic.)
You may want to bring a light jacket with you to dinner. The air conditioning may be turned up HIGH!

Group 2 - casual attire is acceptable since you will have time to change your clothes before dinner. Details for dinner: Competitors, student members and advisers will be at the Grand Hyatt from 5:30p-6:15p and will leave from there for dinner. Group 1 - families and guests not attending the meeting will gather outside the Hilton lobby bar at 6:15p ready to depart by 6:20p. A member of the travel staff will escort you to the Casa Rio to join the group. Group 2 - will depart from the Hilton Palacio del Rio at 8:20 p.m. for the Casa Rio. If you are not outside when it is time to leave,
please find your way to the Casa Rio. Please be on time for dinner! The group will be seated at 8:30p.

Time Schedule for the Evening: 6:15p Group 1 (seating for dinner) will be escorted from the Grand Hyatt to the Casa Rio. 6:30p-8:00p Reservations for Group 1 (For Group assignments, see the chart on Day 4A) Upon completing your meal, you are excused from dinner. To walk back to the Hilton Palacio del Rio, follow these directions 8:15p-8:20p Group 2 (seating for dinner) will meet outside the Hilton lobby bar. 8:20p Group 2 will be escorted to Casa Rio by a member(s) of the Travel Staff. 8:30p-10:00p Reservations for Group 2 (For Group assignments, see the chart on Day 4A) Upon completing your meal, you are excused from dinner and may walk back to the Hilton Palacio del Rio. Midnight Curfew

Exit the main door onto Commerce Street; turn right; cross the bridge; turn right onto S. Alamo. The Hilton in on the right.

Day 5 - Sunday, July 1

Buckhorn Saloon & Texas Ranger Museum

This evenings event takes us to one of the oldest establishments in San Antonio. The Buckhorn Saloon is noted for its spectacular wildlife exhibits. Tonight, prepare yourself for a Texas-Sized Adventure! PA FBLA has exclusive use of the Buckhorn until 8:30p. Attire: Time Schedule 6:00p 6:10p 6:30p-8:30p 7:45p 7:30p-8:15p 8:30p Midnight

Casual. Shorts are appropriate; beachwear is not. Suggestions: cool summer digs and comfy shoes. Optional: Cowboy boots, cowboy hats Gather outside of the Hilton in the lobby bar area to prepare for departure for the Buckhorn Saloon Begin short escorted walk to the Buckhorn Saloon. Wear comfortable shoes. Dinner at the Buckhorn Saloon in the Toepperwein Room (seating is assigned by table number. (Refer to sheet 5A for your seating assignment.) After dinner, enjoy the wildlife exhibits, visit the Buckhorn Museum* and the Texas Ranger Museum** (main level behind the saloon), and the Buckhorn Gift Shop (main level). Photographs will be taken in the Buckhorn Museum, the Texas Ranger Museum and various parts of the Saloon.*** The Buckhorn Saloon opens to the public. Enjoy a leisurely walk back to the Hilton Palacio del Rio. Curfew
Directions from Buckhorn Saloon to Hilton Palacio del Rio: 200 S. Alamo Street From the Buckhorn, exit the main entrance, go East on E. Houston St. toward N Presa St. Take 2nd right onto Losoya Street. Losoya becomes S. Alamo. About .1 mile, the Hilton sits on the right.

*The Buckhorn Museum features wildlife from all over the world; including fish from the seven seas, animals from every continent and strange animal oddities which have been collected for over 100 years! The exhibit halls are comprised of over 520 species of wildlifemany of which are record holders. The Buckhorns most prized record holder is the famous 78 Point Buck. This impressive rack was sold to the saloon owner for a mere $100 back in 1890. Other amazing specimens include a record 1,056 pound black marlin and a 10,000 year old pre-historic Irish elk. **The Texas Ranger Museum is a recreation of San Antonio at the turn of the century in Ranger Town. The town includes a replica Buckhorn Saloon, a jail cell, blacksmith and a replica of the 1934 Ford V8 Deluxethe famous Bonnie & Clyde getaway car. ***A photographer will be on site taking your picture with some of the exhibits, in a jail cell, in Ranger Town, or next to Bonnie & Clydes getaway car. You will have the option to purchase these pictures.

Reception

Lets all get together one final time to celebrate the accomplishments of all our competitors, FBLAs 70 years of excellence, and bid farewell to another amazing NLC. As our week together comes to a close, this is a perfect time to say our goodbyes to the new friends we have made and to our friends of many years. You have made Pennsylvania PROUD! Thank you all for helping to make memories that will last a lifetime. We hope the experience has been fantastic for you. On behalf of the PA FBLA Management Team and the Executive Committee, we hope to see you at next years NLC.
