INT. KATE’S HOUSE - BEDROOM - DAY (DAWN)
CLOSE IN on a clock radio that reads the time -- 6:23
a.m. The clock radio sits on a bedside drawer that stands
right next to the bed where KATE is lying. She rustles
underneath the blankets and hugs a pillow close to her
chest. Suddenly, a doorbell rings, waking her. Kate opens
her eyes and runs her fingers through her long hair. The
doorbell rings again. Sighing, Kate climbs out of bed and
heads out the room.

INT. KATE’S HOUSE - FOYER - DAY (DAWN)

Wearing a purple robe, Kate opens the front door. On the
other side stand two SUITS. One of them smiles at Kate while
the other looks on blankly.
SUIT #1
(extends hand to shake)
Hello, my name is Damon Banks. Are
you Kate Austen?
Kate stares at BANKS’ hand for a moment and reluctantly
shakes it.
KATE
(nods)
Yeah, I’m Kate. Who are you again?
BANKS
Damon Banks. This is my partner,
Allen Foy.
(beat)
We’re here on the behalf of our
client to get a DNA sample from you
and your son, Aaron.
A startled look crosses Kate’s face. She stares
incredulously at Banks and FOY as Banks reaches into his
coat pocket for a piece of paper.
KATE
I-I’m sorry. Who do you work for?
BANKS
That doesn’t matter right now. What
does matter is that I have a court
order here that states that you and
your son must relinquish samples of
your DNA upon being served these
papers.

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 2.

Banks waves the piece of paper in front of Kate who just

stares at them.
KATE
Why?
BANKS
To determine your relationship to
the child.
Kate stares awestruck at Banks. The jig is up.
BANKS (CONT’D)
Our employer has reason to believe
that you are not the biological
mother of Aaron Austen.
The shocked look of her face is replaced by an expression of
anger. Kate shakes her head and begins to close the door,
but Banks holds it open with his forearm.
KATE
Get off my property!
BANKS
Please, Ms. Austen, do not make
this any harder for yourself or for
little Aaron.
KATE
DO NOT THREATEN MY SON!
Banks sighs and takes a step back.
BANKS
If you do not comply now, I’ll just
be back later. And next time, I’ll
be with the sheriff.
Kate smiles inanely and shakes her head.
KATE
Then come back with the sheriff.
She slams the door hard in Banks’ face. Leaning back against
the door, she runs her hands over his worried face. FOCUS on
Kate’s hard, concerned look then...

INT. BEN’S ESTATE - LIVING ROOM - DAY (DAWN)

JACK trudges down a flight of stairs that leads down into
the living room. He finds no one there, but smells something
cooking in the kitchen. He follows the aroma of bacon and
eggs and winds up in...

INT. BEN’S ESTATE - KITCHEN - DAY (DAWN)

...the kitchen. BEN is standing over the hot stove, cooking
some bacon on a frying pan. He looks up and notices Jack
standing at the doorway. Jack’s staring at him oddly as if
it were the strangest thing to see Ben cooking.
BEN
Good morning, Jack. You woke up
just in time for breakfast.
Jack doesn’t say anything back. He just takes a seat at the
counter and watches Ben cook.
BEN (CONT’D)
Is something wrong, Jack?
Jack looks up, widens his eyes, and shakes his head. A wry
smile forms on his face as if he’s about to laugh.
JACK
No, I’m fine.
BEN
Are you sure?
JACK
I- just can’t believe...
(chuckles)
...where I am.
Ben turns the stove off and sets the bacon on a plate with
the eggs. He walks them both over to Jack and hands him an
empty plate.

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 4.

BEN
Is it so hard to believe that I’m
your only friend right now?
JACK
Yeah, it actually is.
Ben reaches into a cupboard and draws out a fork.
BEN
(hands Jack the fork)
Well, don’t worry. Your other
friends should be here soon.
JACK
(confused)
My other friends?
BEN
(nods)
Sayid... And Hurley.
Jack looks at Ben with a confused glare.
JACK
W-W-What?
BEN
Yes, Jack. Sayid and Hurley. Do you
not want to see them?
Jack holds the fork steady in his hand as he looks at Ben,
his head tilted sideways with his face contorted into a
confused stare.
JACK
Hurley’s stuck in a mental hospital
and Sayid -- Sayid is
God-knows-where.
BEN
Then I guess I’m God, Jack, because
I know exactly where Sayid is.
(beat)
And Hurley isn’t in Santa Rosa
anymore.
JACK
What are you talking about?
Ben grabs his own plate and puts some food on it.

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 5.

BEN
Let’s just say that Sayid and I
have found ourselves a common
enemy.
JACK
What?!
Jack can’t believe what he’s hearing. Ben, on the other
hand, is calm and lucid. He stuffs his mouth with some eggs
and chews.
BEN
Sayid left to bring back Hurley.
They should be here soon.

INT. CAR - DAY (DAWN) - CONTINUOUS

HURLEY watches the sunrise through the windshield of Sayid’s
Audi. In the backseat lies SAYID, bloody and nearing death.
He struggles to stay awake and moans in pain. A river of
cars passes by the windows as Hurley looks up at a freeway
sign reading: Los Angeles 0.4 Miles Next Right. Finally, a
sign of familiarity. Hurley turns around to Sayid with a
smile.
HURLEY
Don’t worry, Dude! We’re almost
there! I’ll get you to a hospital
and--
SAYID
(coughs)
No! Not a hospital!
A confused look appears on Hurley’s face. He turns back to
the road and watches Sayid through the rearview.
HURLEY
What? Why not?
SAYID
(gasping)
The hospital isn’t safe, Hurley.
They-They’ll find us.
HURLEY
What?
SAYID
You have to-to go somewhere else!

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 6.

It’s obvious Sayid is struggling to stay up. He’s clutching

his side and grunting as he attempts to speak.
HURLEY
W-Where do I go then?

FROM SAYID’S POV

Blurriness. Hurley’s figure is nothing, but a huge blob.
Sayid’s eyelids begin to close over his eyes, but he does
his best to keep them open.
SAYID
(whispers)
Be-Ben...
Hurley turns back around. Sayid can’t even make out his face
anymore.
HURLEY
Where?!
SAYID
(whispers)
Ben...
Finally, he can’t handle it anymore and all we can see is
BLACKNESS.

INT. HOTEL - ROOM - DAY

CLOSE IN on SUN’s reflection in the mirror. Dressed in a
very conservative and stylish dress, Sun takes lipstick to
her lips and paints them over. Pursing her lips together,
she closes the cap over the lipstick and stuffs it into her
tiny purse. Turning around, she grabs an expensive pea coat
sprawled out on her bed and proceeds to put it on. As she
gets one arm in the sleeve, her cellphone rings.
Sun eyes the cellphone for a beat as she finishes putting on
the coat. Walking over to the bedside drawer, she stares at
the phone for another second before finally picking it up.
SUN
Hello?
WIDMORE (O.S.)
Mrs. Kwon?

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 7.

SUN
Yes. May I ask who this is?
WIDMORE (O.S.)
It’s Charles. Charles Widmore. You
came to me yesterday.
Sun’s eyes brighten up and she nods.
SUN
Yes. Yes. I remember.
WIDMORE (O.S.)
How are you today, Mrs. Kwon? I
hope I didn’t catch you at a bad
time.
SUN
I was just on my way out, but it’s
fine. What can I help you with, Mr.
Widmore?
WIDMORE (O.S.)
I’ve thought about what you said
yesterday.
SUN
And?
WIDMORE (O.S.)
I believe we could start a very
good partnership given the right
resources... And trust.
(beat)
I would like to meet with you
before you leave London.
SUN
My flight leaves tonight.
WIDMORE (O.S.)
Then we’d better hurry. Please meet
me at the Rosemund Cafe on 23rd
Street in fifteen minutes.
SUN
Alright. I will see you there then,
Mr. Widmore.
WIDMORE (O.S.)
Goodbye, Mrs. Kwon.

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 8.

Sun hangs up her cellphone and folds it back closed. Staring

out the window, she flips the phone back open and dials
another number. She holds the phone up to her ear for a
moment as the phone on the other side rings.
SUN
Hello?

INT. KATE’S HOUSE - BEDROOM - DAY

Kate grabs a stack of clothes from her closet and stuffs
them into her large briefcase. Laid out on her bed are an
open briefcase and a duffel bag for Aaron’s belongings. She
zips the briefcase and the duffel bag closed and heads over
to her closet.
Pushing aside the rest of her clothes, she grabs a shoe box
from the back of the closet and retrieves a thick envelope.
Opening the envelope, she reveals a stack of bills. Grabbing
her purse, she stuffs the envelope inside and zips the purse
back up.
Standing at the foot of her bed, Kate stops and thinks for a
moment. Turning back around, she reaches into her closet and
opens a safe in the corner. There is a gun inside. She pulls
it out, but shoves it back in when she hears...
AARON (O.S.)
Mommy? Where are you going?
Kate stands up and hides the safe behind her.
KATE
We’re gonna go visit Mommy’s friend
for a little bit. Go put your shoes
on, Baby.
AARON
Okay.
Oblivious, Aaron turns back around and strolls out of Kate’s
bedroom. Sighing, Kate reaches back into her closet and
pulls the gun out of the safe. Checking to see if it’s
loaded, Kate stuffs the gun behind her back and kicks the
safe door closed.
9.

EXT. KATE’S HOUSE - DRIVEWAY - DAY

Kate tosses the duffel bag and briefcase into the trunk of
her car and slams it shut. She walks around the side of the
car and looks inside the backseat to see Aaron in his car
seat, playing with one of his toys. He looks up at Kate and
smiles. She smiles back as she hops into the driver’s seat.
Starting the car, Kate pulls out her cellphone and looks
through her contacts list. Once she finds the one she’s
looking for, she dials it and presses the phone up to her
ear.
KATE
Hey, it’s Kate!
Kate begins to back out of her driveway.
WOMAN (O.S.)
Hey! How’s it goin’!
KATE
Not too bad. We kinda’ have a
problem, though.
WOMAN (O.S.)
Really? Can I help?
KATE
Actually, you can!
(beat)
Do you mind letting me and Aaron
stay with you guys for a while? It
won’t be too long and we’ll try not
to be a hassle.
WOMAN
Oh, don’t worry! You’re welcome
over here any time!
KATE
Thank you! We’ll be there soon.
Bye.
Kate hangs the phone up and tosses it onto the passenger
seat. As she drives away down the street, she looks into her
rearview mirror. CLOSE IN on it as Kate’s perfect house
begins to fade out of sight.
10.

EXT. ROAD - DAY (FLASHBACK)

Moving over a desolate road, following a car -- Kate’s car.
It is bounded on either side by vast fields of grass and
large windmills, their blades rotating like the hands of a
clock. Closing in on the windshield, onto Kate’s determined
visage...

INT. CAR - DAY - CONTINUOUS

Kate is sitting in the driver’s seat, both hands on the
steering wheel. She’s looking straight forward at the empty
roadway. On the passenger seat beside her is a scrap of
paper with an address on it: 4216 Winter Drive SW, Santa
Clara, CA.

EXT. HOUSE - FRONT YARD - DAY

FOCUS on the numbers on the front of a house: 4216. WIDEN to
reveal Kate’s car sitting in the driveway, Kate still
sitting inside it. She steps out a moment later and slams
the door closed. Sighing, she walks towards the front porch
of the small, one-story house and stops in front of the
door. Kate stares at the door for a solitary beat then...
INTERCUT WITH:

INT. HELICOPTER - DAY

Kate is sitting on one side of the helicopter with JACK
across from her. Sitting beside her is SAWYER. They all have
distressed looks on their faces as the helicopter begins to
dip in the air. Leaning over, Sawyer whispers something
inaudible to Kate. She turns to him with a confused and
distraught look...
CUT TO:

EXT. HOUSE - FRONT YARD - DAY

Gulping, Kate raises her hand to knock on the door, but
stops herself an inch away from the wood. Suddenly, though,
the door swings open and a woman stands on the other side
with a surprised look on her face. Kate stares back at her
and her eyes widen. The face in front of her is familiar.
CASSIDY
(points)
I know you...

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 11.

Kate stands still like a statue as CASSIDY stares back at

her.
KATE
(meek)
Hi.

INT. CASSIDY’S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - DAY

Kate sits on the couch in the living room with a cup of
coffee in her hand. Cassidy comes in and pulls a chair up
across from her. She sits down and laughs.
CASSIDY
Can’t believe this...
KATE
(smiles)
Me neither.
CASSIDY
You really survived that plane
crash?
KATE
Yeah. Crazy, huh?
CASSIDY
Yeah, no kidding.
Kate giggles as Cassidy observes her worried face. Cassidy
licks her lips and leans forward.
CASSIDY (CONT’D)
So, tell me, why are you here,
Kate? I know you didn’t search me
out just to say hi.
KATE
(chuckles)
You were definitely hard to find.
CASSIDY
Yeah, they made sure of that.
KATE
(beat)
Anyways... it’s about your
daughter.
Cassidy cranes her neck and stares at Kate with a perplexed
look.

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 12.

CASSIDY
How do you know I have a daughter?
KATE
(reluctant)
Saw-James told me...
Taken aback, Cassidy stares at Kate in awe. She clasps her
hand around her mouth and shifts her eyes around the room.
KATE (CONT’D)
Strange coincidence, huh?
Cassidy is still reeling. She says nothing as she looks up
at Kate.

EXT. CAFE - DAY (END FLASHBACK)

Sun sits alone at a table inside a coffee shop, a cup of
coffee in her hand. Her eyes are shielded by a pair of
sunglasses to conceal her identity as dozens of people walk
back and forth past the cafe. As Sun takes a sip of her
coffee, she hears her cellphone ringing in her purse. She
pulls it out and flips it open.
SUN
Yes?
WIDMORE (O.S.)
A black limousine is about to pull
up beside you. Get inside.
Sun hangs up the phone before anything else can be said.
Looking around, she sees a limousine coming down the street
towards her. It pulls up to the curb beside her and she
opens its door.

INT. LIMOUSINE - DAY - CONTINUOUS

Sun shuts the limousine door behind her and turns to her
side. CHARLES WIDMORE is sitting there, his eyes fixed
forward and his hands crossed atop his lap.
WIDMORE
You made quite the first impression
on me yesterday, Mrs. Kwon. Never
did I think that one of you would
help me.

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 13.

SUN
I feel the same way.
Widmore finally turns and looks at Sun. He has a cold,
callous expression on his face.
WIDMORE
So why are you proposing to help
me?
SUN
I’m not proposing I help you, Mr.
Widmore. I’m proposing we help each
other.
(beat)
I think we can both agree that we
each need something from one
another.
WIDMORE
(chuckles)
What do you think I could possibly
need from you?
Sun looks back at Widmore with a knowing look.
SUN
(beat)
I know you want the Island.
WIDMORE
And you think you can find it?
SUN
I think we can find it. Together.
With our combined resources, we
could find it.
WIDMORE
Why on earth would you, of all
people, want to go back to that
Island?
SUN
(beat)
Who ever said I want to go back?
Widmore squints his eyes. A look of confusion crosses his
face.
WIDMORE
If you don’t plan on returning to
the Island then why would you look
for it?

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 14.

The gravest look appears on Sun’s face.

SUN
To make sure Benjamin Linus doesn’t
find it first.
Widmore flashes Sun a bewildered look. Sun’s face, however,
remains callous and stoic.
SUN (CONT’D)
I blame Ben for the death of my
husband. I will make him pay.
WIDMORE
(smiles)
I guess we have more than a few
things in common then, don’t we,
Mrs. Kwon?
Sun doesn’t say anything back. She just stares back at
Widmore’s smiling visage as the limousine drives on through.

INT. HURLEY’S MANSION - LIVING ROOM - DAY

Hurley drags Sayid’s unconscious body into his living room.
A trail of blood leads from the living room out to the front
door. He sets Sayid’s body on the couch and frowns upon his
bloodied shirt. Sighing, he turns and leaves the living
room.

SERIES OF SHOTS
A) Hurley enters the kitchen.
B) Climbs the stairs.
C) Opens the door to his bedroom.
D) Walks around his parents’ bedroom.
E) Goes back down to the foyer.
The entire house is empty. There isn’t a single soul inside
the mansion.
15.

INT. HURLEY’S MANSION - LIVING ROOM - DAY

Hurley walks back into the living room and sets a first-aid
kit down on the coffee table beside Sayid. With a pair of
scissors, Hurley grabs Sayid’s t-shirt and cuts it open. He
looks down at Sayid’s abdomen and cringes at the sight of
his ugly wound. Blood is still oozing out of it, slowly and
steadily.
HURLEY
(whispers)
Holy crap...
Suddenly, a phone rings, distracting Hurley. He looks around
for the source of the sound until he realizes it’s in
Sayid’s pocket. Reaching inside Sayid’s jeans, Hurley pulls
out a cellphone. The front screen is lit up and a name is
scrawled across it -- DEAN MORIARTY. Hurley flips open the
phone and presses it against his ear.
HURLEY (CONT’D)
Hello?
BEN (O.S.)
Sayid?
HURLEY
Who is this?
BEN (O.S.)
Hurley?
Hurley’s eyes widen in shock.
HURLEY
How do you know my name?!
BEN (O.S.)
Hurley, where is Sayid?!
Without another word, Hurley fearfully shuts the phone
closed and looks around the room in paranoia and confusion.

INT. BEN’S ESTATE - LIVING ROOM - DAY

With a grave look on his face, Ben closes his cellphone and
sets it down on the coffee table. Jack can sense something
is wrong and looks up at him.
JACK
Was that Hurley?

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 16.

BEN
Yes, Jack.
JACK
Did something happen to them?
BEN
(beat)
Yes.
Ben turns away and moves towards the stairs, but Jack stops
him.
JACK
Well, what happened?!
BEN
I don’t know, Jack.
JACK
Then where are you going?!
BEN
Hurley answered Sayid’s phone. That
means something has happened to
Sayid.
JACK
How are you gonna’ find them?
BEN
Hurley has been locked up for the
past two years. There’s only one
place he’d go.
Jack lets go of Ben’s shoulder, allowing Ben to hurry up the
stairs. Sighing, Jack rubs his jaw and glances around the
empty living room.

EXT. CASSIDY’S HOUSE - FRONT YARD - DAY

Kate’s car sits in the driveway of Cassidy’s house. She
steps out the car a moment later and opens the door to the
backseat. Reaching inside, she unlocks Aaron’s seatbelt and
pulls him out the car.
AARON
Yay! We get to see Auntie Cassidy!
KATE
(smiles)
Yup, that’s right, Buddy.

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 17.

Holding Aaron’s hand, Kate walks up the steps to the front

porch. She knocks on the door and waits for an answer.
Nothing. She knocks again a second later, but again, there
is no answer. A look of worry crosses Kate’s face as she
knocks on the door a third time.
AARON
Maybe she’s sleeping, Mommy.
Kate ignores Aaron as she grabs the doorknob and turns it.
The door opens. The stunned look on Kate’s face suggests she
knows something has happened.
KATE
Baby, whatever happens, stay close
to Mommy, alright?
AARON
(nods)
Okay.
Biting her lower lip, Kate pulls the gun out from behind her
pants and cocks it. With one hand holding Aaron’s and
another clasping the gun, Kate kicks the front door open and
ventures inside.

INT. CASSIDY’S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - DAY

Kate’s eyes go wide with shock as she sees her friend’s home
ransacked. Picture frames are shattered on the floor, a
flower vase is knocked over, the TV is gone, and the shelves
of a cabinet are all pulled out. Kate waves her gun around
the room as she looks around for any intruders. There is
nobody inside the house.
As she wanders further into the living room, Kate’s eyes are
caught by a trail of blood leading away from the living
room. She grasps Aaron’s little hand tightly as she follows
the trail.

INT. CASSIDY’S HOUSE - KITCHEN - DAY

The blood leads Kate into the kitchen. The telephone hangs
from its regular spot, dangling only by the looped cord.
Kate looks down at the linoleum floor to find Cassidy
sprawled out against the kitchen counter. Turning around,
Kate blocks Aaron’s view and hugs him close to her.
KATE
Baby, I need you to go into the
living room.

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 18.

AARON
But you said--
KATE
Please, Baby! Just listen to Mommy!
Aaron meekly nods as he walks away from the kitchen. As she
watches Aaron leave the kitchen, Kate cringes and turns back
around. Tears are already welling up in her eyes as she
inches towards Cassidy’s bloody body.
KATE (CONT’D)
(whispers)
Oh my God...
Kate crouches down and drops the gun to her side. Biting her
teeth together to stop from wailing, Kate touches Cassidy’s
pale face. Suddenly, Cassidy lets out a painful gasp and
grabs at Kate. Kate catches Cassidy’s hand as it reaches up
at her and holds it tight.
CASSIDY
(gasping)
K-Kate... Kate...
KATE
(weeping)
I-I’m here, Cassidy. It’ll be
alright. Okay? It’ll be alright.
Cassidy holds onto Kate’s hand as she struggles to keep her
eyes open. There is a pain stricken look on her face. She
can feel the blood oozing out of her body.
CASSIDY
They-They took her... Clementine...
Shocked, Kate’s eyes go wide and her lips quiver with fear.
CASSIDY (CONT’D)
Pl-Please, promise me... Promise me
you’ll save her. Please...
Kate wraps her fingers around Cassidy’s hand. She can feel
Cassidy’s grip loosening with every breath she takes. A tear
streams down Kate’s cheek onto her hand as she cringes.
KATE
I-I promise! I’ll find her. Don’t
worry!
Cassidy begins gasping for air. Her body shakes as Kate
tries her best to hold onto Cassidy’s hand. Cassidy lets out
a painful groan and looks up at Kate with a slight smile.

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 19.

KATE
Cassidy?
Kate looks down at Cassidy’s pale, bloody body as her grip
on Kate’s hand loosens up. Tears begin to fall down across
her body as Kate tries to shake her awake.
KATE (CONT’D)
No... No! Cassidy? Cassidy!
Pressing her face against Cassidy’s chest, Kate shakes her
friend’s body like a rag doll.

INT. CASSIDY’S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - DAY (FLASHBACK)

Cassidy’s hand is clasped around her mouth. Kate stares back
at her, silent and unsure of what to do.
CASSIDY
(stands)
Please, um, I don’t think you
should be here.
KATE
(stands)
Wait! I just need to talk to you
for ten minutes. Just ten minutes,
please!
Cassidy looks at Kate. Her face is full of distress and
pleading. She nods and sits back down.
CASSIDY
Ten minutes.
KATE
(nods)
Thank you.
Kate clears her throat and stares down at the coffee in her
hand. She is contemplating how to start this.
KATE (CONT’D)
Um... I-I met James at the airport
bar. I was just getting something
to drink and he was already there.
We started talking a while and we
got along really well.
CASSIDY
(chuckles)
He was quite the charmer.

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 20.

KATE
(smiles)
Yeah. W-When I got on the plane,
turns out I was seated next to him.
Plane took off and we spent most of
the time talking.
(beat)
I-I was pregnant at the time and I
asked him if he had any kids. When
I asked him, he had this look -- he
looked like he was sorry or ashamed
of something. I told him he didn’t
have to tell me anything, but he
told me anyways that he had one kid
-- a daughter.
CASSIDY
Clem.
KATE
(nods)
Yeah. He said he was sorry things
turned out the way they did. Sorry
that he couldn’t be a part of her
life.
Kate looks up at Cassidy. Her eye are welling up with tears,
but she’s shaking her head.
CASSIDY
No. No. Don’t lie to me. I knew
Sawyer!
KATE
I knew him too!
CASSIDY
For a few hours!
Kate stops before she says anything more. She presses her
lips against one another and shakes her head at Cassidy.
KATE
You think he really didn’t care
about Clementine? You think he
didn’t want to be a part of her
life?
Cassidy gulps and just looks at Kate. Tears are beginning to
come down her face. Kate wipes them away and sniffles.

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 21.

KATE (CONT’D)
When that plane began to tear apart
in the sky, do you know what he
asked me?
(beat)
He asked that if I-I survived, that
I come find you and Clementine.
That I tell you that he was sorry
for everything. And-And that he
wished he could be a part of your
lives.
Kate turns away from Cassidy. Her face is wet with tears.
She gasps for air as she wipes the tears from her eyes.

INT. CAR - CONTINUOUS (END FLASHBACK)

Jack is driving Ben’s car down a crowded street with Ben in
the passenger seat. All is silent as the two ride down the
street towards Hurley’s mansion. As Jack turns the wheel,
Ben looks over and notices Jack’s hand shaking slightly.
BEN
Jack, if you want my help in
getting back to the Island, then I
suggest you lay off whatever it is
you’re taking.
Jack strikes Ben a confused look.
JACK
What do you mean?
BEN
Don’t lie to me, Jack. I can read
it on your face. I know you’ve been
taking drugs.
Jack gulps and looks away. He licks his lips and hides his
right hand as he continues driving.
BEN (CONT’D)
I think it would be best if you
stopped. These drugs can kill you.
JACK
(chuckles)
What are you now? Some guidance
counselor?

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 22.

BEN
I’m telling you this for your own
good, Jack.
JACK
(nods)
Thanks, but I can take care of
myself.
Ben turns and glares at Jack sternly.
BEN
Obviously not, Jack.
(beat)
You’ve been a drugged-up wreck the
past few months. Flying back and
forth across the world and taking
drugs and drinking alcohol to dull
the pain. I’m surprised you even
shaved that disgusting beard off.
Jack looks at Ben with an annoyed look.
JACK
How do you know all that, huh? You
been watching me, Ben?
BEN
(beat)
Yes, Jack, I have actually.
Jack turns his head and stares at Ben as he comes to a red
light. Ben doesn’t bother to look back as Jack glares at
him. He just sits straight up with his eyes fixed forward.
Averting his eyes from Ben, Jack turns to his rearview
mirror and sees half his faded visage in the mirror. Turning
away, he moves the mirror out of the way and drives on as
the light turns green.

EXT. HURLEY’S MANSION - FRONT YARD - DAY (LATER)

Jack and Ben stand before Hurley’s front door. It appears
they’ve been standing there for some time as Jack is now
banging his fists on the door. No answer.
JACK
Hurley! It’s me, Jack!
HURLEY (O.S.)
Go away! You’re not real!

CONTINUED: 23.

JACK
What are you talking about,
Hurley?! I’m right here!
HURLEY (O.S.)
You’re with Ben!
Jack shakes his head in anger and looks at Ben who stands
calmly beside him.
JACK
Hurley, please just open the door!
I’ll explain everything once you
let us in!
HURLEY (O.S.)
No way! I’m not letting you guys
have Sayid!
BEN
Hurley, if you do not let us in
right now, Sayid will die!
HURLEY (O.S.)
You’re not real! Leave me alone!
Biting his teeth together, Jack takes a few steps back and
kicks at the door. It begins to buckle. Jack kicks it again
and it starts to rip from the door frame. One last time,
Jack reels his leg back and BOOM! The door flies open and
standing on the other side is Hurley with Sayid’s gun
pointed right at Jack.

INT. HURLEY’S MANSION - FOYER - DAY

Hurley cocks the gun as he levels it at Jack’s chest. Jack
and Ben stand still outside the door until Jack takes a step
forward.
HURLEY
Stay back!
Jack raises his hands up in surrender as he takes another
step towards Hurley.
JACK
Hurley, it’s just me, Jack. I’m not
going to hurt you.
Hurley waves his gun at Jack then points it at Ben.

HURLEY
Then-Then why is he with you?!
Jack stops and glances back at Ben. He motions for him to
leave.
JACK
Ben-Ben is here to help us, Hurley.
HURLEY
Help us with what?
JACK
Help us get back home.
Hurley stares at Jack with a confused expression.
HURLEY
What are you talking about, Dude?
Jack takes one last step forward and grabs the nozzle of the
gun. He brings it down slowly and takes it from Hurley.
JACK
(takes magazine out)
See, Hurley? I’m real.
Jack sticks the magazine into his jacket pocket and hands
the gun back to Hurley.
JACK (CONT’D)
Would I be able to do that if I’m
just a hallucination?
Hurley takes a look at his empty gun. He looks back up at
Jack. Notices his beard is gone.
HURLEY
But your beard--
JACK
I shaved it.
He grabs Hurley’s hand and clasps it with his own.
JACK (CONT’D)
See? I’m real, Hurley. Just like
you.
Jack lets go of Hurley’s hand and reaches for a hug. Hurley
just stands there, staring at him. Finally, his face breaks
into a smile and he embraces Jack in a huge hug.

HURLEY
(whispers)
Thank God!
Once Hurley lets go of him, Jack nods and smiles at Hurley.
Suddenly, his eyes perk up and he remember what he’s there
for.
JACK
Now, Hurley, I need you to take me
to Sayid.

INT. HURLEY’S MANSION - LIVING ROOM - DAY

Hurley escorts Jack and Ben into the living room. Sayid’s
body is still on the couch, lying still and in pain. His
shirt is soaked in blood. Jack, carrying a small medical
kit, walks over to the couch and crouches down beside Sayid.
The first thing he does is check Sayid’s pulse. It’s low and
quiet.
JACK
(looks up)
Ben.
Nodding, Ben carries over a portable oxygen tank. Jack takes
it from him and flips it on. He grabs the attached mask and
puts it over Sayid’s mouth and nose. Once the mask is
strapped on, Jack turns around to his medical kit -- it’s
laid open on the coffee table. He grabs some tools from it
and begins to work on Sayid. He’s moving so fast it’s hard
to keep up. He hasn’t had this much work in so long. Jack
looks like his old self as he leans over and starts patching
up Sayid.

INT. LIMOUSINE - DAY - CONTINUOUS

The limousine finally stops moving. Sun and Widmore turn to
one another and shake hands.
WIDMORE
The next time we need to meet, I
will contact you.
He reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out a business
card. He hands it over to Sun who palms it.
SUN
(nods)
Till next time then.

(CONTINUED)

WIDMORE
(nods)
Goodbye, Mrs. Kwon.
Sun opens the door and steps out. She begins to shut the
door when she turns back around and leans into the
limousine.
SUN (CONT’D)
I would like it if our meetings
were kept secret. I don’t think
it’d be good for business if others
knew about our new partnership.
WIDMORE
You have nothing to worry about,
Mrs. Kwon. Your secret’s safe with
me.
Sun nods and shuts the door.

EXT. HOTEL - FRONT ENTRANCE - DAY

As the limousine drives away, Sun is left standing in front
of her hotel. She watches the limousine drive away until it
is out of sight. Satisfied that it’s far enough away, she
opens her purse and pulls out a cellphone. Going through the
contact list, she finds the one she needs and hits the dial
button.
SUN
I’ve made contact.
VOICE (O.S.)
Good. Do you think he trusts you?
SUN
Right now, I can’t say for sure,
but in time I know he will.
VOICE (O.S.)
Alright. Good work, Sun.
SUN
Thank you.
(beat)
And how are things going on your
end?
27.

INT. HURLEY’S MANSION - BATHROOM - DAY

The faucet is turned on. Water rushes out of it and splashes
around in the sink. CLOSE IN on the mirror -- Ben is staring
back at himself. A phone pressed to his ear.
BEN
Things are going according to plan.
Sayid, Hurley, and Jack are with me
now.
SUN (O.S.)
And the others?
BEN
The others will take some hard
work. But I’m sure they’ll be on
our side in no time.
SUN (O.S.)
Good. I’ll contact you later then.
BEN
Yes. Goodbye, Sun.
SUN (O.S.)
Goodbye, Ben.
Eyes fixed on his reflection, Ben hangs up the phone and
stuffs it back into his pocket. Reaching over, he turns the
faucet off and flips the light switch off before leaving the
bathroom.

EXT. HURLEY’S MANSION - BACKYARD - DAY

Hurley and Jack are standing in his backyard. Hurley has
changed from his bathrobe into some regular robes. They’re
both staring down at their reflections in the pool.
HURLEY
What’s going on, Jack?
JACK
I-I don’t know, Hurley.
Hurley looks up at Jack. Surprised.
HURLEY
But you always know.
A distraught look crosses Jack’s face. He flashes Hurley a
wry smile as he stares back at him.

(CONTINUED)

JACK
Not this time.
HURLEY
Why are you with him? Ben.
JACK
(beat)
Because he can help us, Hurley.
It’s like you said, we have to go
back.
HURLEY
(shakes his head)
I don’t know if I wanna go back
anymore, Dude.
Jack looks at Hurley with a puzzled expression.
JACK
It’s not a question of if we want
to, Hurley. We need to.

HURLEY
So I’m guessing he visited you too,
huh?
JACK
(nods)
Right before he died.
HURLEY
And you believed him?
JACK
Not at the time. No.
(beat)
But now... It’s all starting to
make sense.
Hurley’s face shows surprise and confusion. He shakes his
head and takes a step back from Jack.
HURLEY
Dude, no. I’m supposed to be the
crazy one!
JACK
But you’re not crazy, Hurley! And
neither am I! There’s a reason all
this is happening!

(CONTINUED)

HURLEY
W-What if he was wrong?
JACK
What if he was right?
Hurley blinks for a few seconds then looks away. He stares
down at his reflection. His face is contorted into a look of
despair.
JACK (CONT’D)
If we don’t go back, Hurley,
everyone we left behind... they
will all die.
Hurley looks away from Jack. He takes a contemplative beat.
Looks up at Jack and cringes.
HURLEY
Even if we go back, how are you so
sure it’ll fix things?!
JACK
Do you trust me, Hurley?
Hurley pauses for a moment then nods.
JACK (CONT’D)
Then trust me, we can fix
everything. But we need your help
to do it.
Hurley’s eyes are welling up with tears. To think, he’s
about to go back to the Island. He nods to himself.
HURLEY
(gulps)
Then I’m with you.
Jack smiles at Hurley and grabs him in an embrace. Hurley
pats him on the back as he stops his tears from coming.
Suddenly, they both hear a cellphone ringing. Letting go of
Hurley, Jack pulls out a cellphone. The caller ID reads:
Unknown. Jack looks at his phone with a perplexed look, but
flips it open nonetheless.
JACK
Hello?
KATE (O.S.)
Jack?

Jack’s ears perk up and his eyes widen. The voice is

familiar. Warm. Friendly. But it’s distressed. Something’s
wrong.
JACK
Kate? Is that you?
KATE (O.S.)
Yeah-Yeah, it’s me, Jack.
JACK
Why’s your number blocked?
KATE (O.S.)
I’m calling you from a payphone.
JACK
Why? Did something happen?
KATE (O.S.)
(sobbing)
Yeah, Jack. I need your help.

INT. KATE’S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - DAY (FLASHBACK)

Kate walks through the front door with Aaron and enters the
living room. She stops as soon as she sees Jack sitting on
the couch in front of her. He has a half-empty bottle of
beer in his hand.
KATE
Hey. You’re home early.
AARON
Hi, Daddy!
JACK
Hey, Kiddo!
Aaron runs over to Jack and jumps on his stomach. The two
hug and Jack sets him back on the floor.
JACK (CONT’D
(to Kate)
Yeah. They let me off. Where’d you
guys go?
KATE
Oh nowhere. Just went shopping.
Jack stares at Kate with an unbelieving stare.

(CONTINUED)

JACK
Where are the bags?
Kate shrugs her jacket off and hangs it up by the front
door. She shakes her head.
KATE
Didn’t buy anything. Couldn’t find
anything I liked.
JACK
Really?
KATE
(nods)
Yeah. Why? Is something wrong?
Jack chuckles and stands up. He steps towards Kate.
JACK
You sure you weren’t going here?
Jack lifts a scrap of paper for Kate to see. It’s the piece
of paper she scribbled Cassidy’s address onto. Kate sighs
and walks towards Jack. She snatches the scrap of paper out
his hand and crumples it up. Shaking her head, she bends
down and holds Aaron by his hands.
KATE
Hey, Baby, do you think you can go
to your room? Me and Daddy need to
talk.
Aaron nods and scurries off as Kate stands back upright. She
waits till Aaron’s completely out of sight then turns to
Jack with a stern glare.
KATE (CONT’D)
(shows the scrap of paper)
Where’d you get this?
JACK
Doesn’t matter. Where were you?
KATE
I told you. I went shopping.
JACK
(smiles)
Really?
Kate shakes her head and tries to walk away, but Jack blocks
her.

KATE
Stop it, Jack. Leave me alone.
JACK
Why? What’s wrong? You don’t wanna’
talk about it?
KATE
You’re drunk, Jack. Just go to
sleep.
JACK
I’m not tired.
KATE
Well leave me alone!
Kate tries to push her way past Jack, but he grabs her by
the wrists and holds her down. She tries to wrestle her
wrists away from him, but Jack’s too strong.
KATE (CONT’D)
You’re hurting me!
JACK
Just tell me where you went and
I’ll let you go!
KATE
It doesn’t matter where I went,
Jack! Let me go!
JACK
Did you do another favor for him,
huh, Kate? What was it this time?!
Kate tries to get out of Jack’s hold again, but he just
tightens his grip.
KATE
You have no right!
JACK
Tell me where you went, Kate!
SMACK! Kate finally manages to get one arm out of Jack’s
reach and slaps him across the face. Jack, angry, lets go of
Kate’s other arm and shoves her back.
JACK (CONT’D)
You’re really willing to risk our
cover for him?!

(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 33.

KATE
I’m not risking anything, Jack!
JACK
You’re risking our lives every time
you go over there! What if she
figures it out, huh?!
KATE
(shakes her head)
You don’t know what you’re talking
about. Get away from me.
She rubs her wrists. They’re red. Jack shakes his head and
clenches his fists. He takes a step towards Kate, but stops
himself.
KATE (CONT’D)
Get out of my house before I call
the cops.
Jack stares at her, breathing heavily.
KATE (CONT’D)
Leave!

EXT. PAYPHONE BOOTH - DAY (END FLASHBACK)

With a look of fear on her face, Kate is looking around is
paranoia. Embracing her leg is Aaron. He seems oblivious to
what’s going on around him. Kate presses the payphone up to
her ears as she sobs.
KATE
Ca-Cassidy’s dead, Jack.
JACK (O.S.)
What?!
KATE
And people are after us.
JACK (O.S.)
(frantic)
Wait. What do you mean? Are you and
Aaron alright?!
KATE
We-We’re fine, but we can’t go back

Jack.

JACK (O.S.)

JACK (O.S.)
Where in Santa Clara? I’ll come get
you.
KATE
No. No, Jack. We can’t stay here!
We need to keep moving! Tell me
where you are. I’ll come to you!
JACK (O.S.)
I’m at Hurley’s.
KATE
(shocked)
Hurley’s?
JACK (O.S.)
Yeah, it’s a long story. I’ll
explain once you get here.
KATE
Okay. Okay. I’ll be there soon.
Thank you, Jack.
Kate hangs the phone up quickly and grabs Aaron. Carrying
him, she hurries over to her car. It’s parked along the
sidewalk. Opening the door, she places Aaron into his car
seat and hops around to the driver’s side. As she opens her
door, she notices a MAN IN SUNGLASSES staring at her.
Paranoid, she jumps into the car and frantically starts the
engine. The man in sunglasses begins walking towards her
car. Kate can practically feel her heart stop as she hits
the gas and pulls away from the street.

INT. HURLEY’S MANSION - FOYER - DAY

The doorbell rings, prompting Jack to go to the front door
to answer it. He peers through the eye hole and gives a sigh
of relief. He swings the door open and immediately pulls
Aaron and Kate inside the foyer. Embracing both of them, he
kisses Aaron on the forehead and Kate on the cheek.
JACK
Are you guys alright?

plastered on his face.
JACK
Hey, Buddy! How’s it goin?
AARON
Good.
JACK
Really? You’re not scared?
AARON
No.
Jack laughs and holds Aaron tightly.
JACK
You’re a good boy, you know that.
And Daddy loves you.
AARON
I love you too, Daddy.
Setting Aaron down on the ground, Jack turns to Kate.
JACK
C’mon. I’ve got a lot to tell you.

INT. HURLEY’S MANSION - LIVING ROOM - DAY (LATER)

Kate is sitting on one of Hurley’s recliners. Hurley is
seated at the other one while Jack stands behind him.
Sayid’s body is still laying unconscious on the couch. A
look of bewilderment sits on Kate’s face as she attempts to
take in all Jack has just said to her. After a long beat,
she finally looks up at Jack.
KATE
You can’t be serious right now.

JACK
He’s not just your son, Kate! He’s

KATE
Then where have you been?
Jack stares at Kate with an incredulous look.
JACK
(sighs)
Don’t bring that up, Kate. You know
I wanted to be with him.
KATE
(angry)
Then you would’ve tried harder! You
would’ve done more to be with him!
Jack shakes his head in anger and disappointment.
JACK
This isn’t about us right now,
Kate! This is about everyone else!
It’s about everyone we left behind!
Rose. Bernard. Juliet. Claire.

Sawyer.
KATE

Don’t use him to get to me.
JACK
I’m not using him. I’m just telling

KATE
What are you talking about?
JACK
You said it yourself, Kate. People
are after you and Aaron.
Kate stops and clenches her teeth. Jack takes a step forward
and stares into Kate’s eyes.
JACK (CONT’D)
The people that are after you, they
will not stop. They are after the
Island too and they are planning on
using us to get to it!
(beat)
Unless we find the Island first.
Right now, as much as you’d hate to
believe it, the Island is the
safest place on Earth!
Kate’s face falls. She sighs and shakes her head.
JACK (CONT’D)
Think about Aaron, Kate. I’m trying
to protect him. You should be doing
the same.
A long beat.
KATE
You really think Ben can help you

there. He looks at Kate who has a look of bitterness and
anger on her face.
BEN (CONT’D)
Hello, Kate.
JACK
Alright. Let’s get going.
Hurley stands up and walks towards Sayid.
KATE
I’m not going with you.
Jack turns and stares at Kate. He’s about to talk, but...
BEN
Kate, do you love Aaron like your
own son?
KATE
(defensive)
He is my son!
BEN
(beat)
If you love Aaron, then you will go
with us. Like Jack said, the only
place he’ll ever be safe is on the
Island -- where he belongs.
KATE
Aaron belongs with me! Not to some
damn island!
JACK
Please, Kate, just come with us.
It’s better than this, isn’t it?
Better than having to run away all
the time?
Kate shakes her head in frustration and crosses her arms
over her chest.

KATE
You really think going back to the
Island is going to solve all your
problems?
JACK

He talked to you too, didn’t he? He
told you about what happened on the
Island when we left, right?
KATE
What does that have to do with
anything?
JACK
You don’t feel any responsibility
for what happened?
KATE
He was lying, Jack!
JACK
What if he wasn’t?! What if he was
telling us the truth?!
Kate turns around and tries to walk away.
JACK (CONT’D)
Locke knew when he was going to
die, Kate! Don’t you think that
means something?
(beat)
He knew he would die, but he risked
his life anyways because he knew we
had to go back to the Island.
KATE
(shakes her head)
You’re as crazy as Locke was...
Jack looks at her forlornly and walks over to her. He grabs
Kate by the arms and tries to hold her close to him.
JACK
Even if you don’t wanna go back to
the Island, just come with us.
You’ll be safe where we’re going.
You won’t have to run anymore.
Kate stares at Jack for a second, contemplating his
proposition. Biting her lip down, she gulps.

You’ve gotta be kidding me.
JACK

Nope.
As Jack holds onto Kate, behind them, Ben walks over to
Sayid’s body.
BEN
(to Hurley)
Will you grab the oxygen tank?
Hurley nods and picks up the oxygen tank from the floor
while Jack turns around to help Ben hoist Sayid’s body up.
Kate watches in awe as the three work together to haul
Sayid’s body out of the living room. Shaking her head, Kate
reluctantly follows them out of the living room.

EXT. BEN’S ESTATE - FRONT YARD - DAY

Ben shuts the doors of his car while Jack and Hurley carry
Sayid into the house. Parked beside Ben’s car are Sayid’s
Audi and Kate’s BMW. Kate hops out the car and pulls Aaron
out of the backseat. Walking towards the house, she
activates the car alarm.
BEN
Kate, wait.
Kate stops walking and turns towards Ben with a disapproving
look. She obviously wants nothing to do with Ben.
KATE
What do you want?
BEN

Sighing, she turns to Ben and glares at him.
KATE
What about it?
BEN
He also told me her daughter,
Sawyer’s daughter, was kidnapped by
the same people.
KATE
(shakes her head)
What does this have to do with you?
Ben stops and looks away.
BEN
(beat)
It doesn’t. But I just want you to
know that I will help you find
these people and save her daughter.
Kate looks at Ben and shakes her head. She begins to laugh
inanely and covers her mouth to stifle it. Ben has an
expressionless look on his face as he watches Kate.
KATE
Don’t. Don’t try to act like you’re
my friend. You’re not! You’re the
farthest thing from my friend!
BEN
I-I understand that it’s my fault
that so many horrible things have
happened to you and your friends,
but I’m trying to make up for it,
honestly.
KATE
There’s no redemption for you.

INT. BEN’S ESTATE - FOYER - DAY

Kate shuts the door behind her. She looks around the foyer
in amazement. It actually looks like an ordinary house.
Heading further into the mansion, Kate finds her way into...

INT. BEN’S ESTATE - LIVING ROOM - DAY

...the living room. Jack is sitting on the floor, playing
with Aaron. There’s no one else inside. Jack finally has a
cheerful look on his face as he rolls a ball towards Aaron.
Aaron picks the ball up and tosses it back at Jack who lets
it hit his head. Aaron breaks out in laughter as Kate
watches with a smile. Jack tosses the ball back at Aaron and
looks up at Kate. He smiles back at her.
KATE
He always did love playing with
you.
JACK
Thanks.
Kate nods and sits on the couch.
KATE
Where is everyone?

denies Jack. Smiling to himself, Jack presses his forehead
against Kate’s chin and simply holds her body close to his.
JACK (CONT’D)

I’m sorry. For everything. It was
my fault.
KATE
(whispers)
It’s okay.

I forgive you...
The two share a long and reluctant embrace as Kate struggles
to put a smile on her face as she holds onto Jack tightly
while he hugs her.

INT. ST. SEBASTIAN HOSPITAL - OFFICE - DAY (FLASHBACK)

Jack is sitting at his office desk in the hospital. A stack
of paperwork is lying on the edge of his desk. Several
pieces of paper have already fallen off to the side. Jack is
looking at some of the documents when he hears the doorknob
turn. Looking up, he sees Kate enter.
JACK

Hey...
KATE
Hey, Jack.
Kate shuts the door behind her and pulls up a chair. She
sits down across from Jack’s desk. Jack grabs the documents
he was reading and sets them aside.

KATE

JACK

So are we good then? Are we okay?
Kate looks at Jack with a sorrowful look. She shakes her
head and closes her eyes. She can already feel the tears.
Jack’s jaw drops and he looks at Kate with a stunned
expression.
KATE
I-I don’t think I can do this

JACK

KATE (CONT’D)
I’m sorry, Jack. You can’t come by
the house anymore.
JACK

What?!
KATE
I’ve got a restraining order

JACK
Y-You can’t do that! He’s my son,
Kate!
KATE

Well, when you’re ready to be his
father, then you can come back.
Jack stares at Kate in disbelief. He’s still shaking his
head in shock.
KATE (CONT’D)
Until then, you’re not allowed
around us. I’m sorry.
Kate stands from her seat and heads towards the door. She
holds it open as Jack sobs at his desk behind her. Another
tear streams down Kate’s face as she exits out the door and
shuts it closed behind her.

INT. BEN’S ESTATE - BEN’S BEDROOM - DAY

Taking his jacket off, Ben locks the door behind him and
starts for the closet. He slides the closet doors open and
pulls out a hanger for his jacket. Setting the jacket back
into the closet, he reaches inside and shoves the hung
clothes aside. Pressing his hand against the wall, he feels
the wall cave in and slide open, revealing...

INT. BEN’S ESTATE - HIDDEN ROOM - DAY

...a hidden room. Dark and empty except for a computer, a
small desk, and a rotating chair. The computer appears
old-fashioned and is currently turned off. Ben steps inside
the room, prompting the wall the close back behind him.
Reaching into his pocket, Ben takes out his cellphone and
opens it. Dialing a number, he puts the phone up to his ear
and listens to the other line ring.
VOICE (O.S.)
Hello?
BEN
Everything has gone according to
plan.
VOICE (O.S.)
So I’ve heard. She came to him?
BEN
(nods)
With a bit of reluctance, yes. It
may take some more convincing, but
she will be with us soon.
VOICE (O.S.)
Good. And they don’t suspect a
thing?
BEN
Nothing.
VOICE (O.S.)
Then everything went just like you
said.
BEN
Of course it did.
VOICE (O.S.)
(chuckles)
What do you want me to do with the
girl?
BEN
Keep her safe and sound. She isn’t
to be harmed at any cost. Is that
clear... Marcus?

Standing in an empty warehouse with a gun in one hand and a
cellphone in another is MARCUS. Behind him are several armed
men with a little girl tied to a chair -- CLEMENTINE. Her
head is covered by a black sack. Marcus looks back at her
and smiles menacingly.
MARCUS
Crystal.
BEN (O.S.)
Good. Then I will contact you again
soon. Take care.
MARCUS
You too.
Marcus hangs up the phone and stuffs it back into his
pocket. Holstering his weapon, he starts towards his men and
Clementine.
