On December 1st 2006 the alpine bushfires in Victoria when over 70 fires were started by brand of thunder storms and lighting which moved across the state. The fire was going on for 69 days and that became the Great Divided Complex. With the on going flames from the fire some homes were caught by the dazzling flames and lost there homes. The cause of the accident was mainly caused by thunderstorms and hard lighting strikes. On the day of the Australias bushfire sadly 173 people lost the lives and 414 were injured as a result to the out fire.

The fire service got to the scene with less then an hour which they had to be quick due people stranded near the flames. The fire service coming from different fire station due the destinations of the flames moving quickly. Over the course of the major incident there was about 2000 fire-fighters attended to tackle the flames and they were there for 75 days due to some parts of the fire kept relighting. When the fire crews were tackling the fire they used specialised air crafts to carry gallons of water and drop over the flames. Also from the air crafts fire-fighter was hanging out using water pumps from the sky because they couldnt get close enough. With the ground units they could get close enough due the heat and the flames were out of control. The fire services that attended the fire and stayed tackling the fire the whole way through the course of 72 days due to fire kept re-lighting, fire crews called in supports groups due to the fire was to much to handle because the fire man couldnt get close to control the flames. For this sort of situation some fire and rescue services dont have a written plan due to not many of these horrific fires, but they knew what they were dealing with and equipment they needed to beat the flames.

What did the fire service actually do? What preventative measures did the fire service have prepared for such a situation?

London which was targeted towards civilians using the public that were using the transport system during the morning rush hour for work. Three of these bombs were detonated in quick succession aboard London the underground trains across the city and later that day a fourth bomb was detonated aboard a double decker bus in Tavistock square. The causes of the accident were the 4 suicide bombers who then plotted and then executed the bombings and also the blasts. The bombs that were used were homemade organic peroxide based devices that were then packed into rucksacks so people dont see them planting the bombs. On that day 52 people died and the 4 suicide bombers died and also around 700 people were injured due to the blasts and buildings and other resources that were flying around due the bombs being detonated. It took the fire service about an hour to get to the accidents because of the delays that were in the and around the city because of the accident. At all these bombings that happened in London the fire services were dragged in from all over London to help with the event and also the police with the investigation. At the accident the fire service assisted in other different ways rather than using there equipment, the reason for this was that at that moment in time, fire engines had a shortage of advanced life saving kits such as defibrillators and manual suction devices. The fire service that attended the scenes of the terrifying accidents and they helped rescue people along side police officers and members of the public that were effected by the blast. For this sort of accident, the fire service couldnt be prepared for this because it is unlikely and freak occurrence. But I think the fire service managed did excellent in saving peoples lives and there was already a lot of people dead before even the fire service could even get to the scene before a bomb hitting you is an instant fatality most of the time.
