Keeping in view the emerging trends among today's youth, NIMA carried out Youth Empowerment Skills (YES) Program through its knowledge partner ITFT Education Group, Chandigarh, The program was attended by more than 300 students of Tricity. A ft e r a t h o r o u g h r e s e a r c h o n youngsters, this charismatic program was designed. It is an amalgamation of fun & learning. Through the most innovative & practical methods, the program imparted skills required for youth to carve a niche in the society. Every single skill was inculcated with loads of energy & enjoyment, said Ms. Neha Minhas one of the faculty of this program.

It is with the never dying optimism, endless enthusiasm & passion of the team of YES that it has turned out to be a h u g e s u c c e s s a m o n g Yo u n g community, as described by Ms. Namrta. She further said that YES program imparted all the necessary skills required by each student to become a winner in his life. It was a fifteen day training program that included classes on Image management, Photography, Dance and Aerobics, Theatre and Social networking. Theatre classes were taken by Ms. Indu Sharma an accomplished and renowned expert in Soft Skills. Dance skills were imparted by Ms. Nisha Sharma, Media Faculty.

NIMA Participated in Conference of Tourism and Infrastracture organized by PHD Chamber-Himachal Pradesh at Shimla

Sh. JN Vohra, Secy Gen NIMA, making his presentation on Innovative Strategy to promote Himachal Tourism NIMA was invited to participate in the PHD (HP) organized conference on Tourism and Infrastructure held at Shimla on 4th June 2012. Mr. J.N.Vohra, Secretary General of NIMA made a presentation on this occasion. He said that Himachal should formulate an integrated policy of Tourism Products and Services encompassing incentive based Tourism, Aviation & Hospitality Infrastructure development of Northern India. Mr. Vohra said that H.P. should focus on High spending, selective tourist inflow especially in Eco Fragile areas keeping in view their carrying capacity and open unexplored/ less known destinations. In order to make Himachal Year round destination removing seasonality factor should promote conferences/ Trade fairs/ Expo and Tourism related events with emphasis on weekend.

Sh. Sudripta Roy, Chief Secy. Himachal Pradesh releasing recommendation of NIMA for promoting tourism in Hiimachal Pradesh Mr. Vohra said that the number of tourists visiting rural areas of Himachal has increased as they have an opportunity to experience traditional hospitality of HP. The numbers of tourists coming from UK are also on the increase as they are interested to visit those buildings and places connected with British Empire in India. In order to sustain these tourists Himachal should preserve its rich heritage and buildings of Historical importance as Shimla was the summer capital of British rulers in India. Himachal tourism should also promote Cinematic Tourism, Carnival and Cinematic Year Awards and Honours. NIMA also presented its recommendations on Innovative Strategy to promote Himachal Tourism to the Chief Secretary of Himachal Mr. Sudripta Roy.

Dr. Gulshan Sharma was elected as Vice President of PMA-Chandigarh Chapter in a PMA meeting held at Hotel Park Plaza, Sector-17, Chandigarh. The meeting was presided over by Sh A.B.Aggarwal, President-PMA, Chandigarh. Mr. J.N.Vohra was elected as Secretary General-PMA-Chandigarh Chapter. growth in the last decade. Present day indicators show that this trend will continue for some time to come. Project management is carving out its appropriate place as a distinct discipline in its own right. For a discipline to be sustainable, it has to have its own Body of Knowledge, Research. PMA has taken an initiative of making it convenient for all to learn the concepts of project management at your own convenience and at your own speed through e-learning mode. It is the most convenient way of learning in today's time when it is difficult to attend regular classes for most working executives / students / entrepreneurs.
