Account 14 DAY FURNISHING REPORT OBSERVATONS AND AF P1956 AUTHORITY

On the day of your move in, the SZ2 in attendance will check the furniture with you or your Unit Rep. Any damage to the furniture is recorded below. This will ensure that no bill will be raised against you for any recorded damage when you hand the furniture back to the ASU. Your furniture will then again be inspected at the time of your move out for serviceability and cleanliness. A record of this will be made and you (or your unit Rep) are requested to sign to acknowledge the damage/cleanliness. On return to the stores your furniture will be assessed in conjunction with your signed form by the Stores Manager and any subsequent damage may result in a billing action being taken against the occupant. You now have Fourteen days from the date of move in to further inspect the furniture and record any damage that may have been missed by the Stores, then send a copy to the ASU, Building 999, Nadder Road, Tidworth, SP9 7QA where it will then be placed on your house file to be used as reference on your move out. If the ASU has not received the form within the fourteen days we will assume that you are happy with the furniture and that you fully understand that any damages found after the fourteen days period may result in a bill being raised against you when wharfing furniture back to the ASU Stores, or when you move out. Whilst the furniture is housed within your SFA, you are responsible for the safe keeping, and you are advised to take out household contents insurance. Under no circumstances are items of furniture to be stored in outbuildings or garages, where they may be prone to damp/damage. Any furniture found in an OutBuilding or Garage that has been damaged by damp or temperature, will be deemed as unfit for re-issue and a bill will be raised to cover the cost of replacing the item of furniture. You are entitled to Wharf furniture (Tel 0800 458 1660). Once a request for a Wharf is received, an appointment will be made for collection. All furniture is to be presented polished clean and serviceable, and must remain within the SFA until collected. On collection all furniture will be checked by the Stores staff and any damages will be listed below. You are then requested to sign the form to acknowledge any damage to the furniture. Once the furniture has been returned to the stores if required the Stores Supervisor will be notified of any damage and in conjunction with your previous paperwork will then take the decision if any billing action needs to be taken. For further clarification with regard to payment for damages please refer to JSP 464 Tri-Service Accommodation Regulations (TSARs) Chapter 6 Para 0604. When presenting your SFA for handover, you are to ensure that all furniture is polished, clean and serviceable.

It should also be positioned in the appropriate room within the SFA.
