The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. will hold its 38th National Convention on November 22 to 24, 2012 at the Cebu International Convention Center, Mandaue City, Cebu.

Interested parties are invited to submit abstracts on any of the following Main Topics under the Six (6) Specialty Divisions of PICE: Project Management and Construction Engineering Geotechnical Engineering Structural Engineering Transportation Engineering Water Engineering Environmental and Energy Engineering

Other Topics: Disaster Reduction and Recovery Research and Development Environment & Energy Engineering Infrastructure Development Professional Issues - Codes - Legislations / Legal Issues - Regulation of the Profession - Practice of Foreign Civil Engineers - Ethics General Civil Engineering Civil Engineering Education Leadership and Business Management Information Technology and E-Commerce International Cooperation in Civil Engineering Sustainable Development Mega Projects Role of Civil Engineers in Community Development Abstracts must be contained in one page, discussing the papers objectives, major points, methodology and conclusion and explaining its significance to the Convention. Paper title and complete contact information about the Author should be included. Abstracts must be submitted not later than August 10, 2012 addressed to the Inter-Specialty Group by e-mail to picenatl@pice.org.ph and picenatl@pldtdsl.net as an attachment in MS Word or fax to nos. +63 2 437-2472 or +63 2 709-3415. Authors of selected abstracts will be notified in writing by September 10, 2012 and will receive the guidelines for manuscript preparation and submission of the final version in print-ready format.
