Occupational Health Nursing


Once called Industrial Nursing Specialty nursing practice that delivers health care to WORKERS.

Military Nursing
Part of the Nurse Corps Functions: Meet the nursing needs of todays patients in AFP medical facilities To prepare each Nurse Corps Officer for future assignments at a higher level of responsibility in the different stations and general hospitals in times of peace and war To teach and train enlisted personnel who performs nursing care functions under supervision.

Military Nursing

Qualifications for Military Nursing (Reserve)


Must be a RN Natural born Filipino Citizen Be single or has never been married. Must pass physical examinations Have a pleasing personality and a good moral character Not more than 32 years of age during the time of commission Height requirements: 62 inches for males 60 inches for females

Qualifications for Military Nursing (Regular)


Successfully pass the rigid screening and battery test for the purpose. Height requirement: 64 inches for males 62 inches for females Not be more than 26 years of age during time of commission

Institutional Nursing
Nursing in hospitals and other related health care facilities Nurses, as members of the health care team, participates in all facets of health care. Must have a BACHELOR of SCIENCE in NURSING degree.

Community Health Nursing


Also known as Public Health Nursing. Requires deeper involvement and close cooperation with all the members of the health care team.

Private Duty Nursing


RN who gives 1 on 1 care for a client and is Contractual. May be in a hospital or home. Other names: Private Duty Nurse, Private Nurse Practitioner, Special Duty Nurse, Private Duty Nurse Specialist. Categories: General private duty nurse Private duty nurse specialist

Qualifications of Private Duty Nursing


Must be an RN in the Philippines Have at least two (2) years of bedside nursing experience in a general hospital. Be acceptable to the Director of Nursing Service as appropriate to be a PDN. Be a full time private nurse Preferrably have undergone CCN. Be a certified IV nurse therapist.
