Receive and transmit 8E1(75/120) signals. Provide automatic protection switching. Provide inloop and outloop. Process the VC-12 path overhead (POH) and monitor the path

of each service.

Provide one or two S-1.1 STM-1 optical interfaces. Detect and report various alarm signals and

performance events on the line.


Process high order overhead
Form networks such as chain and ring when working

with cross-connect unit.


Provide inloop and outloop for prompt fault location.. Provide Automatic Laser Shutdown (ALS) function.

Cross-connect unit
Perform cross connection to the line and line signals, line

and tributary signals, and tributary and tributary signals.


Add/drop the tributary E1 signal and groom VC-4 signals

freely.
Support network topologies such as point-to-point, chain and

ring.
Support configuring Network Element (NE) into Terminal

Multiplexer (TM) or Add/Drop Multiplexer (ADM).

Main control & Orderwire unit
Extract/insert, switch and broadcast the overhead bytes, support

point-to-point, point-to-multipoint equipment interconnection.


Transform, process and save the performance data and hardware

alarm events received by the line unit, tributary unit, timing unit, orderwire unit, etc..
Facilitate the SDH NM system in managing NE boards.
Pass the control and management information to upstream or

downstream NEs.
Provide DCC for communication with remote NEs.

Monitor, maintain and manage the equipment in real time.

Access asynchronous serial data.

Provide synchronization clock for the system line unit and

tributary unit.
Lock the line and tributary timing source for system

synchronization.
Provide the system with five timing sources. In maser/slave synchronization mode, the clock of NE node

generally has the following three working modes: Locked mode

Management Mode
OptiX Metro 200 support two different management mode:

OptiX iManager T2000 OptiX iManager T2000 performs operation, administration and maintenance (OAM) over the OptiX Metro 200, realizing service configuration and allocation, and ensuring reliable running of the network. Web-LCT In the terminal computer with an Explorer of Release 5.0 or above, input the IP address, you can configure services or query alarms of the OptiX Metro 200, as well as other NMS operations.

Power Supply Protection
-48V DC:

It provides two DC power supply ports, backing up each other. Monitor the input voltage and generate alarms for over-voltage or under-voltage.
220V AC:

Two internal power modules back up each other. Provide alarms upon power module failure.

Service auto-configuration
Services will be automatically configured once the NE is powered on;
Single optical interface:

configure the 1 ~ 8 tributary E1 services to the 1 ~ 8 STM-1 timeslots, bidirectional;


Dual optical interfaces:

configure the 1 ~ 8 tributary E1 services to the 1 ~ 8 STM-1 timeslots, unidirectional PP protected.
