Trends in Apparel imports by uk from india

In EU27, UK is the largest market for Indian T&C

industry accounting for 7.5% of Indias total T&C exports
by value in 2007-08 and accounted for 12.3% of Indias
total garment export value.

Garment imports by UK increased by 4.4% (y-o-y) by

volume but import value declined by 8.5% (y-o-y) in
2008.

In 2007, Indias share was 5.7% in UK garment import

volume, which decreased to 5.5% in 2008, though

volume from India increased by 1.5% y-o-y.

Trends in Apparel imports by uk from india

The UK was Indias 20th largest importer of goods,

with a share of 0.16 per cent of goods imports into
India in 2009.

In 2010, UK goods imports from India were up 26

per cent on the year.

Licensing Requirements

Authorities in the EU Member States grant import

authorizations to the importer and one license is
valid throughout the EU providing access to the
whole EU market
Certificates of Origin are required and should be
filled out by the exporter and signed by the
competent authorities in the U.S.
