COMPUTER LAB RULES USER EQUIPMENT DATA AND USER SECURITY

COMPUTER LAB RULES

Students are not permitted in the lab unless authorized by the teacher Scan diskettes / flash drive before using it Report all system problems to the teacher Do not attempt to repair or tamper with equipments Use equipments, software and facilities in the lab with responsibilty Do not move any equipment from its established position Do not remove or load any software into the computer Do not change the settings in a computer

Save all work in the diskette / flash drive and not in the computer Do not bring bags, food and drink into the lab Turn off the computer accordingly when finished using Switch off all power supplies in the lab before leaving Internet facility is provided for educational purposes only Record the usage of the computer lab in the lab logbook Record the usage of the computer in the computer logbook Keep the lab neat, clean and secure at all time.

1. 2. 3. 4. Must follow the procedure. Sit on the chair properly and wait for teachers instruction. Write your name, particulars and time in in the computer logbook. Switch on the AVR. Turn on the computer and wait until the log on screen appear. Click STUDENT Open your work. Once finished, shut down properly. Wait until the power of the computer turn off. Switch off the AVR Write the time out in the computer logbook. Arrange the materials back to their places. Pull in the chair and wait for the teacher instruction.

Do not touch any other equipments unless being instructed by the teacher. Students are not allowed to change places. Student must use computer that being assigned. Users are responsible to all equipments and materials within their table

Ethics and Law

DEFINITION OF ETHICS In general, ethics is a moral philosophy where a person makes a specific moral choice and sticks to it. On the other hand, ethics in computing means moral guidelines to refer to when using the computer and computer networks. This includes the Internet.

DEFINITION OF LAW Law is a legal system comprising of rules and principles that govern the affairs of a community and controlled by a political authority. Law differs from one country to another. In the era of technology, computer law is needed to clarify goods or actions that fall under the computer law. Computer law refers to all areas in law that requires an understanding of computer technology such as hardware, software and Internet.
