CENTRIFUGE-The Separator

LOYOLA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT GUNTUR

Introduction
Many of the mechanical processes ends by formation of different by-products. The byproducts formed may be of solids or liquids or combination of both mixture. The main question is isn't it possible to convert the byproducts depending on our requirement?? If yes

Centrifugal Force..

Centrifugal force= (M) (2) (r)

Centripetal Force..

Centripetal Force (f) =mv2/r

Coal to Coak
Conversion of coal to coak gas will be taken up by many number of steps. Starting with the passage of coal to coke oven battery and the cycle ends with the production of coke gas as output from these batteries.

What happens in centrifuge?

Ammonia along with water enters into the centrifuge. There the separation of liquid from the solid takes place by the application of centrifuge.

How in centrifuge???
The separation After the process in centrifuge is completed

Driers..

Uses of ammonia
Use as fertilizer As a cleaner Used in fermentation process As a refrigerant

Conclusion
As the centrifuge consists of motors we can say that it is a mechanical device. And at the same time as it also consists some of the hydraulic devices like oil cylinder etc it is also a hydraulic device. Thus this mechanism is combination of mechanical and hydraulic components. Therefore by the study and analysation of centrifuge one can know its importance in production of ammonium sulphate at recovery plant and the application of centrifugal force for industrial purpose. Even though the equipment is an additional device and requires some additional factors like floor space, power consumption
