Your presentation must display the core elements of the HND course and as such will:

1. Planning must include:

An explanation of your choice A title for your project A statement of the project issue, a SWOT analysis, a mapping of personal strengths in relation to the job opportunity, identify (from

within the core of your course framework) the intended approach to present what you have to offer a prospective employer or backer to maximise your potential. A statement of the aims of the practical assignment/s including personal goals and targets.

 A timescale for conducting the project that should

include both final and intermediate completion dates. A statement demonstrating appropriate working methods employed to achieve aims during the development process and the reasons for the choice of solutions. Identification and explanation of the sources of information to be used for your project and why each has been selected. Identification of the resources (including time) required to carry out the project and how they will be accessed. An explanation of the how your project will be conducted with reasons for your choice of methods used. A statement offering the effectiveness of the route you have chosen.

2. Development must include:

a portfolio of work that will showcase

yourself to secure either work, finance or act as progression to higher education. a written record of the processes underpinning the portfolio preparation contained in a structured logbook As such you must ensure you included elements from the following core subjects:

The logbook must contain:

an action plan research evidence explanation and justification of your actions analysis and/or a description of the portfolio preparation process How you are preparing for the interview The logbook is worth 15 of the 60 marks available for the developing stage

3. Evaluation is a 500-750 word report that must include:

your assessment of the extent to which each of the

original objectives of the project was met. a commentary on aspects of the planning and developing stages which worked well and why, and those aspects that did not. your assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the activities of each of the first two stages of the project. recommendations for future projects. These should be based on items 1 3 above and could relate to your personal development

An overall grade will then be issued:

A Grade (70% and above) is a seamless, coherent

piece of work which: has an abundance of evidence for the three essential phases and is of an exceptionally high standard
B Grade (60-69%) is of a high standard, strong

focus and has good selection of evidence for all stages

C Grade (50-59%) is of an acceptable standard is

focused and relevant to the tasks of the assessment,
