Almatti a small place in B.Bagewadi taluk of

Bijapur district in karnataka surrounded by the magnificent beauty of the nature endowed with,hills and hillocks ,lush green garden in and around and one of the splendid musical fountain enhances its beauty and elegancy. One of the ambitious dam known as LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI DAM, is the lifeline of lakhs of people of this area by providing its precious water to agriculture and domestic requirements

It attracts thousands of tourists . It is the only source of water to the people of almatti and Bijapur District . But it is being polluted by the public in many ways

So the students of JNV Bijapur wanted

to create awareness to the people, using ICT so as to control pollution in the dam and to achieve sustainablity

JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA, Almatti the pride of

Bijapur ,is one of the nodal institution which is serving the society with their own interest. Time to time JNV ALMATTI undertakes such a work that becomes pilot programs in its localities either in forms of organizing interschool competitions which imparts the quality education or by spreading awareness programme for the community welfare

We encourage faculty, staff, students and citizens to conserve water as seriously low water levels in Bijapur District and drought conditions throughout the state continue to threaten the water supply.
