CREATIVE INDUSTRIES INFRASTRUCTURE

WEEK SEVEN

TODAYS CLASS
We are looking at three areas which for part of outcome
two of this unit:

Non music trade organisations Sources of advice and business development Sources of funding and finance

TIME FOR YOU TO DO SOME WORK!

Shortly, you are going to go into 7 groups (3-4 people
approx in each group), and investigate 3 organisations each.

You will report back with one page worth of powerpoint

notes for each organisation.

At the end of the day, you will all share your powerpoint
slides with the rest of the class, ensuring you have information for all 21 organisations which you are to cover as part of Creative Industries Infrastructure.

WHAT HAVE WE TO RESEARCH?

For each organisation, tell us:
Who are they? Who in the Creative Industries / what part of the Creative
Industries do they represent? What do they do?

Keep it brief (one slide) but ensure you are giving us

the main headlines of the organisation and you are answering the above three questions.

THE GROUPS
To get you into groups, lets do a quick exercise to get
you working together and talking to each other: Starting from the hi-fi and working towards the door, all of
you organise yourself in order of your birthday (month and day, not year!). For example, January birthdays will be at hi-fi, through to December birthdays at the door! Two minutes! GO!!!

START RESEARCHING!
Now you are in your groups, whatever group number
you are in, research the organisations that you have been given, which you will be able to identify over the next three slides, by researching the organisations that are beside your group number.

When you have done your three slides, email it to me

and I will put everyones together into one big powerpoint for you all to look at.
