Past tense
Usado para descrever aes concludas no passado. Alguns verbos possuem forma Regular (ED) e outras forma Irregular no passado (go went). Ex: Sheila danced a lot at the party. The police officers killed the suspects last night. My mother traveled to Barreiras. All the students had excellent grades. Alicia brought me some cupcakes and black coffee. Diane made the arresting report.

Regular Verbs
REGRA GERAL: adicionar ED no final do verbo. Ex: To arrest = arrested To play = played To wash = washed To change changed To work = worked To watch = watched

Ted arrested many suspect last night. These police officers worked last Sunday. They traveled to Camaari. These men killed a girl last week. Susan played video games with her brother.

EXCEPTION
Cons + vogal + Cons = Repetir Consoante + ED Ex: stop stopped permit - permitted occur occurred rob - robbed admit admitted prefer preferred plan planned shop - shopped
Ted stopped smoking last week. Julia admitted she was guilty. These police officers preferred working last Sunday. They robbed a bank. I planned a surprise birthday party for my mother.
