Growth strategy: are we depending only on tourism? MICE is the latest Le Mridien is an international hotel brand with a European perspective, formerly headquartered in the United Kingdom, with 130 properties. It is owned by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, and has a portfolio of more than 120 hotels in over 50 countries worldwide. Trident Hotels are five-star hotels owned and managed by The Oberoi Group. Presently there are nine Trident hotels in India. These are located in Mumbai, Gurgaon, Chennai, Coimbatore, Bhubaneswar, Kochi, Agra, Jaipur and Udaipur. The Taj Malabar, Kochi is majestically situated on the Wellingdon Island in Kochi. It is located at the heart of the city. Taj Malabar is situated 45 Kms from airport and 10 Kms from Railway Station. In the 4 star hotels segment, there is not much competition for foreign MNC hotels. R has clear chance of taking the market by storm.
