This pie chart is representing what sort of situations you would really expect to see in a thriller movie. 59% of the students I asked the question answered murder. This is the highest percentage in the pie chart. This is also exactly what me and my group are planning to do in our opening sequence for our thriller genre. 35% of people thought that crime was involved in a thriller movie and 6% of students thought that war was the answer. I personally thought that murder is definitely involved in a thriller movie.

This pie chart is representing what colours would you usually expect to see in a thriller movie. Half of the students I asked in the survey thought that dark was the most useful choice out of the four. This is what our group are looking for in our opening sequence so that it can represent terror and gore. 18% of blues thought that blues was a good answer, 27% of students thought that reds were a useful colour for a thriller movie and finally 5% of students thought that bright was a reasonable colour for a thriller movie.

This pie chart is representing the different types of locations that can represent a thriller movie. Most of the students (57%) thought that dark places was the most reasonable location for a thriller movie. This is what our group are planning to do in our opening sequence so that we can make the audience feel a sense of excitement and terror. 22% of students thought that cities was a reasonable location, 17% of students thought that countryside was the key place for a thriller movie and finally only 4% of students thought that beach was the most fitting location for a thriller movie.

This pie chart is representing the props you would mostly expect to see in a thriller movie. 33% of students which is the highest percentage thought that weapons was the most useful use of pros thats mostly used in a thriller movie. This is the prop that our group is not really going to use but the only weapon that we are planning to use in our opening sequence is a knife This again represents a sign of a gory film and therefore would make the audience feel more interested into the film and get more excited. Infact, 29% of students thought that knifes were mostly used in a thriller movie. Other props such as handcuffs and guns are also used in a thriller movie. Infact another 29% of students thought that guns were used in thriller movies. Finally, a small 10% of students thought that flowers were used in a thriller movie.

This pie chart is representing what sort of emotions the audience would feel for a thriller movie. A majority 45% of people thought that feeling excited was a key emotion for a thriller movie. In our group, we are also going to create an opening sequence that would make the audience feel a sense of excitement. 36% of students thought that being scared was the key emotion for a thriller movie. Our group are also going to make our opening sequence VERY SCARY as well as EXCITING. 14% of students thought that being confused was the key emotion and then finally a small 5% of students thought that being happy was the key emotion for a thriller movie.

This pie chart is representing the different types of music you would usually here in a thriller movie. Most students thought that tense music was the main sort of music you would usually here in a thriller movie; a good 48% infact. I would personally agree to this statement because our group are also thinking about having tense music in our opening sequence so that we can build up tension for the audience and therefore make them more interested into the actual film. Half of that percentage (24%) thought that low pitch music is mostly involved in a thriller movie, 20% of people thought that high pitch music was involved in thriller movies and finally, a small 8% think that thriller movies have upbeat music.

This pie chart is representing the sort of titles you would usually expect to see in an opening sequence of a thriller movie. 94% of students thought that eerie feelings and fades were a more suitable feelings for a thriller genre. Our group are also going to be using these texts at the beginning and through out our opening sequence so that we can make this film more serious and make the audience want to watch on throughout the clip. Only a small 6% of students thought that no use of text/feelings were involved in an opening sequence.
