The basic objective of the Act is to enhance livelihood security in rural areas by Providing at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in a financial year to every BPL & APL household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work This work guarantee can also serves other objectives like

Generating productive assets, Protecting the environment, empowering rural women, Reducing rural urban migration and fostering social equity, among others.
(1) Registration using government identification. (2) Checking wait time for employment. (3) Employment history by the scheme and the money earned. (4) Other employment opportunities by skills and capabilities. (5) Other poverty alleviation schemes and programmes like health, election registration, etc. (6) Other information like ration cards, ration shops, vocational education etc. (7) Feedback of employers under NREGA.
Consumers.
Administrators (1)Detailed history of users, their employment history, payments received, feedback. (2)Checking employment history of others by name and address in the local area. (3)Checking funds disbursal in the local area. (4)Aggregation of feeback of employers under this scheme. Aggregation also by named individuals if so applicable.
