PHASE 2

Abstract of the project

The project is about the deployment of the

WiMAX in North India. As the speed of internet goes on a deflation while we move from the metro cities to small towns and further it goes very slow in the rural areas .To maintain the same speed of Internet in rural areas WiMAX is to be deployed by our company and the customer is BSNL . The WiMAX BTS will be deployed on the existing towers of BSNL.As of now the project is in the survey phase to check whether requirements of WiMAX BTS are available on the BSNL sites or not.

Introduction to the project

Project is based on the installation of WiMAX

equipments in rural areas of North India. The project is in 2 phases South phase (already done) North phase ( on process)

What is the need of WiMAX?

To extend reach and coverage ,WiMAX purpose is to provide voice, video and data service requirements of customers. To extend wire free coverage to pockets with limited or no wire-line coverage. To provide IP services. For providing mobility to broadband users.

Roles and Responsibility

Understanding of BTS site details.

Preparing BTS survey schedule with coordinator.

Site survey report cross checking & verification(QC).

Learning RF planning to finalize BTS location and optimization of the network.

Randomly BTS site visit with circle project

manager. Installation of BTS sites with companies technical engineer.

Check for basic Infra material like tower, specification of pole, presence of electricity. Existing Radiation Patterns (Height and diameter of Antenna, Microwave) . Space in the BS site, parabolic photo, cable length ,CPE survey ,LOS, place for CPE mounting. Making of site survey Report, with building , shelter , lay out diagrams. Pole at CPE and Tower extension at BS if required

We need ASSET Format of data. Height or projection values (WGS -84,42). UTM universal transverse mercator. Map info-RMSI(must be in Tab Format) which includes clutter , height ,places , roads airstrips etc. Coordinates (latt. and long. of BTS) Information about the BTS eg- height of Tower parameter signal strength power gain &power loss

Steps for RF-Planning

Area Survey to check hot spots.

Details of clutter of area.
