Communication is not technology.

We need water. Water runs through pipes. We use pipes to get water. Pipes without water are pointless. Pipes with water are valuable. Remember though, its not about pipes, its about water. Communication, like

water, flows through pipes of technology.

We communicate through phones, use the net, and read in a wide variety of relatively new platforms. Communication is still communication: its the sharing of stories, ideas and experiences. But the pipes are often changing. There are many different types of technology used to facilitate the flow of communication.

Technology is the making, modification, usage, and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts, system, methods of organization, in order to solve a problem, improve a preexisting solution to a problem,

achieve a goal or perform a specific function.

A modern example is the rise of communication technology, which has lessened barriers to human interaction
