TEACHING AND LEARNING

PO1

Knowledge

Have firm foundations in the fundamentals of chemistry. Apply knowledge of principles of chemistry to solve problems.

PO2

Practical Skills

Plan and execute experiments according to scientific methods. Use modern instrumentation and classical techniques, to design experiments, and to properly record the results of their experiments. Perform laboratory techniques safely and accurately.

PO3

Sceintific Methods, Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Skills

Interpret experiments and express the results in clearly written laboratory reports and in oral or poster presentations. Identify, analyse and solve problems in chemistry using systematic methods.

PO4

Communication Skills

Express ideas in an informed, coherent, and effective manner, articulate and develop a sustained argument, both orally and in writing. Interpret experiments and communicate the results of their work to chemists and nonchemists.

PO5

Social Skills , Team working, Responsibility, Leadership skills

Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in teams. Execute the tasks given responsibly. Demonstrate the ability to lead / facilitate teams.

PO6

Managerial & Entrepreneurial Skills

Apply the basic knowledge or principles of managerial and entrepreneurship related to chemical sciences.

TEACHING AND LEARNING

From teacher-centred Traditional teaching : teacher owns the knowledge and convey it to the students. Teacher brings the content and the answers into the training room with him / her.

to a student-centred modern teaching : students (trainee) to learn as much as possible.

teacher as a coach who asks questions and provides guidelines for the acquisition of knowledge.
