Creativity

Cognitive activity resulting in a new way of viewing problems and situations The ability to think and approach a problem in an original and flexible way The ability to bring something new into existence The process of producing something that is both original and valuable

Vision guides Creativity

In a certain sense, one can say that vision must guide creativity
The eyethe window of the soul, is the principal means by which the central sense can most completely and abundantly appreciate the infinite works of nature (Leonardo da Vinci, 1452-1519)

The proponents of Inspirational methods of creativity face the danger of the dilettante:

Too much creativity, not enough follow-through

Those espousing the Situational approach often fall prey to the weaknesses of committees
Too many cooks spoil the broth.

Yeah, yeah, a lot of this can be taught. ...but without vision and creativity, it is an arid exercise in routine.

Creativity is strongest in children.

90 % of people at age 5 are highly creative 10% of people at age 7 are highly creative but, between 8 and 45 years old, only 2% are highly creative
