WHAT IS IT ?
The concept of the "medical home" has evolved since introduction of the terminology by the American Academy of Pediatrics in 1967, which was envisioned at the time as a central source for all the medical information about a child, especially those with special needs. It is "an approach to providing comprehensive primary care for children, youth and adults". medical homes may allow better access to health care, increase satisfaction with care, and improve health. In case of virtual medcal home only office is virtual but doctors,prescriptions,reports are real.

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE ?

Virtual Medical Home is a web application which provides online medical services to everyone at their doorstep. The users living in metro or remote village can connect through internet. This web application is more effective, quick in providing medical help especially to people in remote where very few doctors are present. This helps the patients to maintain a neat health record and to lead a healthy life.

Objective is to provide essential medical services online to everyone hardly matters you live in metro or a remotely located village. Users can connect through their home. The motivate to build this system are: 1) Very few or no doctors at remote locations 2) Limited hour services 3) No patients history/lab data management

The service is the generic communication platform for all doctors and the patients in the world. Anyone(doctors/patients) can freely use the website.

FUTURE SCOPE
It is possible to develop a system that makes all the requirements of the user. User requirements keep changing as the system is being used. Some of the future enhancements that can be done to this system for better use of the system: As the technology emerges, it is possible to upgrade the system and can be adaptable to desired environment. The payments gateway will be added to the system. Webcam interaction. Tracking lab test records.

CONCLUSION
This application software has been computed successfully and was also tested successfully by taking test cases. It is user friendly, and has required options, which can be utilized by the user to perform the desired operations. The software is developed using HTML as front end and JSP as back end with Oracle Database in Windows environment. The goals that are achieved by the software are: Optimum utilization of resources. Efficient management of records. Simplification of the operations. Less processing time and getting required information. User friendly.
