Rewards and punishments
Punishments in our school are not as harsh as you think. If you don’t
finish your homework It’s a late assignment and It’s worth half the
points it was originally assigned. To get a detention you don’t have to
do much. If you sass off to the teacher that’s a easy detention. If you are
late to class that’s a detention. Minutes can be added on to a detention if
you skip one. You can also get ISS’s (in school suspension). That’s if
you get in a fight or something worse than being late like ditching
school. If you push the limits to far you will end up with a OSS (out of
school suspension). If you actually hurt someone in a fight or steal
something from someone. The rewards are cool. If you do something
good in class we get thing called Lottery tickets. You can put the Lottery
tickets in the Lottery Box. At the end of each quarter we get a time to
draw the Lottery tickets out of the Lottery Box and someone draws the
tickets out of the box. Whoever's name gets called, gets to pick a prize
out of all the prizes provided. Once or twice a year you can build a team
up and combine your teams Lottery tickets and you can bid. The Items
would be in bags that are big and small. In the bags you bid for are
really good prizes, but sometimes you can be tricked by the teachers
and get a bunch of toothpicks. Most of the time it ends up to be a good
bag.

Grading System
Amount of homework
How do you earn your grades
.
 The teachers grade
you by how well you
do on the homework
they give you.
 During our ITBS
tests, ITBS stands for
Iowa Tests of Basic
Skills, ( 3rd grade and
up) is the biggest test
in school and so how
well we do on it, it
shows up on our
grades.
 A lot of kids in my grade
don’t like homework
especially the amount
that some of the teachers
give us.
 It sometimes depends on
what sort of teachers we
have here, like
sometimes the teachers
give us constant
homework especially Mr.
Maurer, then if we forget
about some homework
we have, it shows up on
report cards as a late
assignment which brings
our grades down.
