Belgian architect De-Koninck designed the world's first modular furniture concept in 1932. A series of standard functional elements could be combined to fit in any size kitchen.

 George Nelson designed this fully adjustable alumium pole system allowing for storage flexability.

These modular beds arrive in a flat pack but can be assembled in minutes requried no tool at all. It comes with clear step by step instructions and once constructed is very sturdy yet extremely comfortable and can be taken apart and reassembled as many times as require. The mattress is sectional and consists of 6 sections which makes it a lot easier to move around than a regular mattress, but thanks to the clever design you won't feel the joins between sections. The mattress sections are attached to the wooden bases so there's no chance of them moving.

The thing that makes modular office furniture so valuable is that it's modular. What this means is that it can be broken apart and then reassembled back to a number of different variations.
