VISUAL LITERACY
Our students now live in an increasingly visual world Classroom technology allows access to a huge range of visuals
Visual Literacy Array based on ACRLs (American College and Research Libraries) Visual Literacy Standards by D. Hattwig, K. Bussert, and A. Medaille
When you scroll over each icon, embedded content is revealed. It can be text, images, videos, music, other audio. ThingLink is a great presentation tool for students.

You can also use ThingLink to create in class activities or even an online examination.
When we curate content we make the web a better place in which to learn.
Haiku Decks and ThingLinks can be easily added to Pinboards.
YouTube videos can be embedded in Pinboards never search for them again.
The ability to create Group Boards makes it possible for students to collaborate. A great creation tool for group work.
Pinterest also allows you to create Secret Boards which can be accessed only by email invitation. This is perfect for curating material just for a specific class and not the public as a whole.
