What is a Storyboard ?
 Storyboard is an expression of everything
that will be contained in the project. It is
final product specification document.
 Storyboarding is a key step in the
development of interactive software.
 It can lead to faster production times and
fewer design problems to overcome in later
production stages.

Storyboard process

1. Prepare a project outline to identify the

main categories of information and how
they are related.
2. For each individual screen, prepare a draft
showing the components and how they are
integrated.
3. With approval of the plan, create final plan
for rendering / execution.

Step-1: Outline

● Title
● Main idea objectives
● 2 or 3 main points
● Sequence and strategy
● Summary
● Exercise, test, practice

Type of strategy
• The expository approach is more
directive and behavioristic. It is
program-controlled, not allowing the
learner enough freedom to direct their
own learning.
• The inquiry approach allows the
learner freedom to pursue their own
goals and their own definitions. This
would work for high ability learners.

Strategy to choose is based on

• The type of content

• The maturity of the learner
• Your beliefs about learning (do you
prescribe more to a behavioristic,
combination, or constructivist approach?)
• The time you have to develop instruction
