A Narrative text is a text that tells a story. The purpose of this text is to amuse, entertain and to deal the readers. Narrative always contain with some problems which lead to the climax and then turn into a solution.

The examples of narrative are : Tale Folktale Legend Fable Narrative text uses simple past tense.

ORIENTATION
Long long time ago, there lived a beautiful girl named cinderella. Because her parents passed away, she lived with her step mother and step sister. Cinderella was very sad everyday because she had to do the housework alone.
Introduces the character in the story, time and place.

One day, the king wanted to find the wife for his son. He invited all the beautiful girls to come. Cinderella was very sad because her step sister didnt let her go. Her sister went to the palace without cinderella.
Describing the rising crises which the participants have to do

RESOLUTION
Luckily, the angel come and helped cinderella to go to the palace. In the palace, cinderella danced with the prince. He fell in love with her, then he married her. They lived happily ever after.
Showing the way of participant to solve the crises, with happy ending or sad ending.

 Reorientation Showing that the story was ending. Coda It provides comment or moral value on what have been learned from the story .
Remember that reorientation and coda are optional.
