??? What are some of your anticipated ideas???

???Anticipated Effects???
My Sniffer will always be in alarm! You can get 1ppm of H2S by breathing on the gas detector! My co-workers are hard enough to effectively manage our program now! I will lose what credibility Ive established now with my current program! How will I know if the units actually did go into alarm? Can I trust (really trust) that my unit is accurate within the new tolerances? My co-workers will create a way to de-rail the 1ppm program because of the

constant alarming unitsProduction will definitely slow to a halt!

How does Dead-Banding the sensor compound this new TLV level? Are there any new solutions available to help me better manage this? Outsourcing looks pretty good right now!!!!

My Current Equipment
Can I change the alarm set-points in the field? Do I have to send these into the manufacture? Do I have to buy new units? Does my software allow me to change the set-points? Does my software have the ability to change the entire fleets set-points?

Are my current units Dead-Banded beyond the new TLV - PEL?

Do I need to know if my units are going into alarm? Do I have the ability now to know how many times my units went into alarm? Is there a simple hosted software solution to help me manage this data? Will I need to add personnel to help manage this new criteria? Will there be a new Calibration Gas needed? Will my battery Run-Times be effected if more alarms are driven?

Personnel
Workers resistance to changeCorrected by Managements Buy-In. Initial Push-Back from constant alarmsRemedied over time-step-changes. Another Training Program??? All these alarms are forcing new S.O.Ps This is incredibly frustrating!

Positive Solutions from interactive personnel

Total Management Buy-In Filters Down Through The Entire Organization, and then Great Solutions Result!

We all learn from our mistakes, and this makes us all stronger!
New S.O.Ps, mean a new awareness! Frustration inspires innovative solutions!

Business
Gather a knowledge seeking team to evaluate the current fleet. Find areas of strength and also areas of weakness with the current fleet. Determine what steps are needed to comply with the new TLV. Conduct a two-week data-logging survey in areas of concern to accurately gauge the topics.

Download and critique the data.

Take a look at your current S.O.Ps to determine if they fit the need. Develop and/or adjust your current plan to meet your objectives. Implement the plan. Conduct new training if necessary. Review and adjust the new program as needed (Time-Step-Changes). Continually manage the data received from the instruments!
