ECM monitors parameters and Initiate an action if a specific operating parameter extends outside an acceptable range

ECM actions
Warning. Derate . Shutdown.

ET
Used to select desired action available for ECM. Used to program monitoring level. Used to program delay time for each action.

Histogram
Displayed by the ET to show the trend of performance for the engine. Available for speed, load, lh exhaust temperature and rh exhaust temperature.

Start enable out put :

indicate the engine may crank.

energized Relay
De-energized No. of crank cycle reached

Shut down notification

Provide indication when the engine control is shutting down the engine i.e. relay is deenergized.

De-energizing the relay

Relay is de-energized if :Engine is shut down by programmable monitoring system Remote emergency stop switch is activated The customer communication module (CCM) requested a normal shutdown. CCM request an emergency stop shutdown.

Engine is shutdown by over speed verify feature. Engine is in the off or stop state. Personality module inter lock occurs. Speeds drop below crank terminate speed.

Fuel consumption adjustment

Adjusting the total fuel consumption. ECM replacement. New ECM programming. allow increment change. Password.

ECM hours increment adjustment :Adjusting the hour meter of ECM. Allow the new ECM to be programmed to display the correct no. of operating hours. Allows only increment changes. Need a password.

ECM voltage

ECM warns operator of low system voltage.

e.g. derate set point :102 degree c.

Jacket water after cooling

Above 102 c for 5 sec warning. *Above 107 c for 5 sec derating. *Above 107 c for 5 sec shutdown.

* because customers prefer shut down for after cooler coolant .

Engine over speed

Warning. Shutdown. Setpoints depend on application and engine . Rating of 1200-1400. Warning and shut down simultaneously.
