BIRRIA

Jericalla

Tejuino
Its a drink made of non-fermented corn and with candy cane It is drink with lemon, salt and spicy prouder. Tejuino is as refreshing as Tepache. Tejuino isnt as famous as Tequila.

TORTA AHOGADA
Is filled with chopped, fried pork, served with onion rings, radishes, avocados and chili peppers. Torta ahogada is the most delicious food of Jalisco. Is as famous as mariachi. Is more difficult to prepared than chilaquiles.

TORTAS ESTILO EL SANTUARIO (LONCHE BAADO)


Made of different ingredients such as: leg, loin, cheese, etc. and a sweet tomatoes sauce. Torta ahogada is spicier than lonche baado.

TEQUILA
Is a distilled beverage made from the blue agave plant.

Tequila is the most important exportation of Mexico. Tequila is more intoxicant than ron. Agave is bigger than sabila. Tequila is the biggest production of drinks in Mexico.

Arquitecture
Guadalajara's architecture is unique and emblematic. With an assortment of buildings, unequalled monuments and fountains that stand out for their beauty and style.

Teatro el Degollado
The Degollado Theater was inaugurated in 1866 with the opera "Lucia de Lamermoor" with Angela Peralta, the Mexican soprano performing in the main role. When it was inaugurated, the original name was Alarcn Theater. When General Santos Degollado died, it was named in his honor. The building is neoclassic style with a strong Italian influence.

Instituto Cultural Cabaas


It was designed by the architect Manuel Tols, at the end of the XVII century. It was inaugurated in 1810 and concluded after several interruptions in 1845. Built in Neoclassic style, the fronton of the porch is triangular and inside there are long corridors, courtyards and it has 106 rooms.

Palacio de Justicia The Justice Palace


Built in 1588, this building was part of the Santa Mara de Gracia Convent, the first one in Guadalajara. It was six blocks long and it had an orchard, a well, a house for the priests, an inn, a school for girls, and the old church of Santa Mara de Gracia

Basilica de Nuestra Seora de Zapopan "Basilica of Zapopan" It is an architectural jewel,

one of the oldest and richest buildings in Jalisco. The builders of this Church were Franciscan friars, who built it honoring the" Virgin of the Immaculate Conception" or the "Virgin of the expectation" currently known as the "Virgin of Zapopan".

Plaza de la Liberacin "Liberation Square"


It is known as "Plaza de las dos Copas" (The two cups Square) since it was built in 1952, since its two fountains are with that shape. It is a traditional place of reunion of the Tapatos.

Rotonda de Los Jaliscienses Ilustres "Rotunda of the Ilustrious Jaliscans"


Monument that dates back to 1952, Circular enclosure that consist in 17 nonbased grooved columns holding a ring quarry. In which is kept 98 urns that contains the remains of illustrious characters of our state.
