PROJECT PRESENTATION ON
MEASUREMENT OF ATMOSPHERIC TURBULENCE EFFECT WITH A SIMPLE SHACK-HARTMANN WAVEFRONT SENSOR AND DESIGN OF OPTICAL ADAPTIVE EQUALIZER FOR THE CORRECTION OF WAVEFRONT ABBERATION IN OPTICAL BEAM
OBJECTIVE
To design and develop a deformable mirror and wavefront sensor for sensing and correcting the wavefront aberration of optical beam. To develop a suitable algorithm and realize it in FPGA/Embedded system, to generate the control signal for the deformable mirror action. To construct a testbed to implement the objectives in real time.
INTRODUCTION
Atmospheric turbulence adversely affects - operation of commercial and military aircraft and is a design constraint. - exposure images of bright stars show that the shape and resolution obtained varies dramatically from image to image . (astronomical telescopes).., To compensate these effects ,we go for Adaptive Optics. (by correcting the incident wave front)
