 My name is Rita Espada.

 I’m thirty years old.
 I’m Portuguese.
 My hometown is Sines.
 I’m a Civil Engineer.
 I'm a Quality, Safety
and Environment Technician with
Somague.

 Sines is a municipality in the district

of Setúbal.


 It is located at the centre of the

Alentejo coast and part of the St.
Vincent and Southwest Alentejo
Coast Natural Park.


 Sines is a small coastal city.

 It has a close relationship with the
ocean.  


 Along its thirty kilometers of

coastline, Sines offers beaches for
everyone, from families to
adventurers.

 Sines is the birthplace of Vasco da

Gama, who was born at the castle
where his father Estêvão da Gama
was the local Alcalde.


 Who was Vasco da Gama?

 The navigator Vasco da Gama,
discoverer of the Maritime Way to
India, is one of the major figures of
the Portuguese and world history.


 After his return from the voyage to

India, Vasco da Gama was given
feudal rights over Sines.

 Main Events - World Music Festival - It

is the most important cultural event
of the year in Sines and the most
important world music festival in
Portugal.

 Main Events – Tasquinhas – Summer

Food Festival - Is very popular and
includes a wide variety of small
“taverns” where restaurants and
other local food houses serve their
specialties.
 3. My Academic Training

 I’m a Civil Engineer.

 My Academic Training give me the
ability to work on different Projects.
 4. My Professional Career

 I went to Somague Engenharia in

2001 (two thousand and one).

 4. My Professional Career

 My first Project was Terminal de

Graneis Sólidos do Porto de Aveiro.
 In that Project, I was a Quality and
Safety Technician during three years.

 4. My Professional Career

 After that Project, I stayed two and a

half years in the Quality, Safety
and Environment Department of
Somague.

 After that Project, I was in “ETAR de

Alcântara” during two years as a
Safety Technician.
 4. My Professional Career

 Actually, I’m in the TGV Project as a

Quality and Safety Technician.
 5. My Free Time Activities, Hobbies

 I don’t have a lot of free time, so I

don’t have many hobbies.
 My favorite hobby is sleep and watch
television.
