PROFESSIONAL ETHICS
• Personal Ethics generally refers to actions
among individuals where individuals can
make free choices. They are guided by
principles which can be clearly stated and to
which the individual is committed.
• Professional Ethics normally refers to
practices within a profession such as
medicine or law with normative standards and
expectations.
QUALITY OF LIFE
• Excessive Technological growth
created an Environment in which
life has become physically &
mentally unhealthy

• It can be seen that there is a


definite deterioration in the
Ethical & Moral Status
• Business Ethics deal with the
desired norms of behaviour
that pertain to commercial
transactions
• A manager with Personal
integrity likely to make
ethical decisions than one
without that
• It is paradoxical that many
businessmen extremely religious
in private life but resort to
unethical behaviour when it comes
to business
• A Good Business Manager is aware of
→ Consumer Interest
→ Professional Interest
→ Organizational Interest
• Ethical norms emerge from self
discovery
• Even while pursuing profits, ethical
norms shall be followed
• Not the exploitation of poor and
underprivileged
• Business situations call upon
Managers to innovate Technically
and Managerially to ensure that the
outcome of their action is good for all
• Every individual has an ethical

responsibility & accountability which

can’t be substituted from one level

to another (can’t be passed on to

the Superiors & Subordinates )

• Similarly organizations can’t push

their responsibility to individuals
