Dutch Cuisine
The Dutch dont have a specific cuisine. You can find a regular meal of potatoes, vegetables and meat just as easily as a proper Indian, Chinese, Surinam, Turkish, Italian or Mediterranean meal. Some typical dutch dishes:
Snert: pea soup with sausages; a winter dish to help you reenergize. Stamppot: another winter dish with vegetables, potatoes and meat mashed together in one stew. There are varieties with kale, sauerkraut, onions, carrots, sausages and bacon. The final touch is an indentation in the middle of the stew that is filled with gravy. Poffertjes: a kind of mini pancakes, but thicker and sweeter. Often served with sugar and butter. This dish is especially popular with children. Hagelslag: chocolate sprinkles on a sandwich is enjoyed by young and old. Haring: the most popular fish in Holland is herring. Eat it on a bun with onions or pickles, or choose to do it the original way and have a bite while holding the fish in the air by its tail. Anushka - Bhavesh- Faraz - Manita - Nibesh

Survival Tips
If you are not dressed up, clean and neat, be prepared to be rejected by the bouncers. Whatever you do, don't arrive talking loudly in English or be a loud drunk or stoned-stupid Smoking a joint is considered fine in most Dutch Clubs, although the rules do vary from place to place. Dutch drugs, (cannabis, speed, X.T.C.) are all top quality, more pure, and thus are very strong. Again, please be careful, go easy. No matter how much you smoke or do of anything at home a few tokes on a Dutch pure skunk joint is likely to give you a 'buzz' you won't ever forget.
