WHAT IS AUTISM?
Autism is a neurological disorder that affects the

brains normal development. This disorder impacts normal functioning of social and communication skills. Today, autism affects an estimate of 1 in 150 births (typically appearing within the first to third year from birth). Boys are four times as likely than girls to have the disorder About 1.5 million Americans are believed to have autism

SYMPTOMS OF AUTISM
The symptoms may vary from moderate to

severe.
The symptoms of autism include problems

with: 1) Communication 2) Social interaction 3) Play 4) Behavior 5) Response to sensory information

TREATMENT & PROGNOSIS


As of now, there is no medical test for diagnosising

autism and only through observation of behavior and developmental growth is this disorder diagnosed.
However, there are ways to enhance and improve

development such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and daily interaction with others.
Autistic children have difficulty in playing, social

interactions, verbal and non-verbal interactions.
