Heart of Kansas Vision Tour 2010
Our letter to you,
At the Heart of Kansas Southern Baptist Association, our members are
seeking to make disciples by helping each other to increase in health and
by starting new, vibrant churches which are equipped to reach people
groups and population segments with a high percentage of lostness. The
key to both healthy existing churches and new vibrant churches can be
found in the growing and recruiting of strong leaders and in cooperatively
gathering resources to engage in healthy, reproductive ministry.
We are asking you, our sister churches, to enter this process with us.
Together we can be more effective in the mentoring and training of
effective leaders, resourcing healthy ministries and in starting vibrant
churches. Perhaps you could be a mentor to a leader or may know
someone that God could use to start a new church. Your church may be
able to provide resources that will enable us to reach our community.
We only ask, as we enter this process, that you seek to discover what
God is calling you to do in our area.
“A man of Macedonia was standing and appealing to him (Paul), and saying,
‘Come over to Macedonia and help us.’ ” Acts 16:9
Why You Should Partner
• Abraham (by faith) looked for a city, Heb 11:10
• Jesus sent his disciples to the cities, Luke 10:1
• Paul had a vision for a city (Macedonia), Acts 16:9
• Low density of Southern Baptist Churches in our area
“What the church needs today is not more machinery or better, not new
organizations or more novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost can
use--men of prayer, men mighty in prayer.” E. M. Bounds
“It is important that we speak to men about God: but is vastly more important
that we speak to God about men.” C. I. Schofield
“If sinners be dammed, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they
will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go
there unwarned and unprayed for.” - C. H. Spurgeon
