Other options after discussion: Some options to consider from the case: Making an agreement with university, that Fire Ramens CEO and CFO roles as R&D and useri (giving license). The first step is Restructure Organization Control in Ramen Software because new strategy and important decision need change of the leader and the structure. Change Ramens CEO and CFO with a good Quality CEO from Ramen itself because important decision is made by leader so new leader has a big impact. Keiretsu team takes control & runs Ramen like making team tank consist of member of Keiretsu groups. It just has 7-10 members. The reason is appropriate team and member will give motivation and new idea and strategy. Hire a lot of hot-shot MBAs to do management task The second step is Financial Stabilization because financial company must be restored. Send a consultant team to Ramen HQ. This consultant team will guide to improve financial company. Liquidate poor-performing product lines and sell non-profit asset. The reason is Ramen needs cash to support its new strategy. Liquidating and selling will give a lot of cash. Pressure keiretsu members to Buy Ramen. This action is like in Mazdas case, when all of the members in its keiretsu, especially in Mazda, must buy its product. As the result, Ramens sale will increase. Sell-off some factories to raise cash Buy up Ramens worthless shares by other Keiretsu members to increase the capital and make the financial more stable. Make an emergency bank loan to Ramen Lobby Officials of Japans Diet Decreasing facility and salary of new CEO and use it for companys sake. Because of the new CEO is from Ramen itself it will be cheaper to hire.
