Followership
It is fact that Leonidas was well motivated and supported by his followers and their followers deserve enough

consideration. Behind the victory of every leader followers

play a vital roles. Good followers perceive following characteristics. 1. Strong belief in leader. 2. Enthusiastic about their job. 3. Passionate about their occupation. 4. Trust worthy in any situation. 3/14/2014 DNV International Education Academy

Leadership style
Leonidas was a participative leader and that can be seen from his way of dealing with his team members. Being a King the fought with his followers at same level. That

indicated positive approach of his leadership..

While on other side Xerxes was the autocratic leader who was driving this force by hitting and killing peoples. That was a sign of negative approach of leadership.

Some Incidents
In Movie some shots could be fit in theories of leadership. When we talk about Gird theory of Blake and Moutons there is two styles which are highlighted in that. They are 5.5 and 9.9 which is are represented well by Arcadians and Spartans

respectively.
Style of Xerxes could be categorized under the title of 9.1 as he was totally concerned about his victory over the world and least

about his peoples.

And 1.1 can be pointed on the constitution of Sparta who were useless and non concern about people or task.

Situational leadership theory

Leonidas had used all the four types of leadership explained in the Hersey and Blanchards situational leadership model. Telling:- while he was dealing with Ephialtes.

Selling:- while he was dealing with council members.

Participating:- while fighting on battle field. Delegation:- while he was sending one of them to tell their story to the citizens.

Here we can conclude whatever we had

learned from the movie.

We checked characteristics of leader from the

role of Leonidas.
We had focused on leadership styles (on the

bases of two theories)

We show the leadership approach of both type.
