Barriers to Effective Communication
Filtering-Filtering refers to a senders purposely
manipulating into, so it will be seen more
favorably by the receiver.
Eg : When a manager tells his boss, what he
feels his boss wants to hear, he is filtering
information.
Selective Perception: The receiver in the
communication process see & hear based on
their needs, motivations, experience,
background & other personal Characteristics.

device i.e transmitted via written words or
symbols.

Internal and External Communication
There are various methods of
internal communication, which
can be used in an
organization. These include
notices, bulletins, newsletters,
tannoy, fax, letters, telephone,
memos, communication by
computer, face to face,
reports, memorandums etc.

Communication must be Brief Well
designed, Precise, Specific, Short,
Neat & clear, Understandable &
comprehensive.
