takes place on a
farm in early Spring.
SETTING
My favorite character is Wilbur. Wilbur is my
favorite character because he is very cute, funny, and
he will always want to be anyone's friend. If anyone
wanted to be his friend he would always say Yes
because he is not mean or nasty to other animals or
human beings in the barnyard. For example, when he
was asking the others animals if they would be his
friend, they always say No, but he never stopped
asking if they would be his friend because he would
be anyone's friend. He is never going to give up.

Dear Mr. Arable,
You are a good man! I am concerned about the runt who was just born in the barn.
You have a very important decision to ponder. Here are some reasons why you should kill the runt!
First of all, the runt is going to die anyways, so you should kill it now instead of just waiting. If you
wait now, youll just waste your time. Second of all, its less work to take care of. For example you will have to feed the
pig and get its medicine from the doctor. Also, it will benefit everyone. Many people can get something from this runt.
I believe we can sell his meat to make money. Finally, that runt of yours is useless. He is worth nothing to you or your
farm.
Now Mr. Arable, think carefully about what I have said. You are a practical man. Kill this pig and be
done with him. He will only cost you money!!! Off with his head!
