Syed Ali Khayam received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University in 2006. He is currently the Director of the Wireless Network Research Lab and Co-Director of the Information Security Research Group at the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, National University of Sciences & Technology in Pakistan. His research spans wireless communication, network and information security, and bio-inspired computing. He has published numerous papers in journals and conferences and has two pending patents at the US Patent Office. He is currently the principal investigator on several funded projects researching topics such as wireless multimedia protocols, wireless sensor networks, and network security solutions.
