1964: At the age of 9, young Elie cut
patterns out of newspaper and eventually
made a gown for his sister.
1981:At the age of 17, Saab moved from
Beirut to Paris to study fashion, however
returned after a brief stint for a year.
1982:At the age of 18, he started is atelier
in Beirut with 15 employees working under
him..

1997:ES became the first non-Italian designer to
join the Italian Camera Nazionale de la Moda.
1998:ES began designing ready-to-wear and
displayed it in a fashion show in Monaco.
1999:Queen Rania of Jordan wore Elie Saab for
her coronation.
2002:Elie Saab opened a salon and showroom in
Paris.
Halle Berry, wore ES when she was the first
African American woman to win an Academy
Award for Best Actress.


2003: The Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture invited
Elie Saab to become a member.
2006:The premiere of ES as a member correspondent of the
Chambre Syndicale de la Couture.
2008:Opened first UK boutique in Harrods.
2009:Signed a contract with cosmetics company Beaut
Prestige International (BPI) to create ES fragrances.

His garments are masterpieces that
speak for themselves with their
impeccable detailing and balancing that to
delicacy.
As a designer, Saab has clearly evolved
through the times with each collections
